so i like most other people have been haunted trying to figure out what the fuck reth's hairstyle is supposed to be

his hair texture looks different from hassian and sifuu's locs (especially the little cowlick of straight hair that sticks out of the front of his headband), so i dont think theyre supposed to be an afro-textured hairstyle like locs or twists

however, they're also different from standard 3-strand braids like the small ones tish and najuma have in their hair

i dont know if the creators had a specific irl hairstyle in mind when they designed him, but after looking around for a bit the closest one i could find that i felt worked is this "knotted rope braid"

i couldnt find any other examples of this specific kind of braid, but it seems like its similar to a "chinese ladder braid" or "chinese staircase braid", but doesnt result in the smaller outer portion of the braid

i know it may not be Exactly correct/the same (especially since the bottom layer of his hair looks a bit different and isnt tied at the ends), but at least as of right now i think its my preferred interpretation, so i figured i would share it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i've had this bookworm oc just for hassian for probably a year because i love tropes. i think hass would jive w/ an introverted, quiet bookworm who teaches him a lot about "ancient human" literature (ie our classic literature like shakespeare, edgar allan poe, mary wollstonecraft etc) while he teaches her palian culture and literature as well. so this is liviana lol. hassian hunts the fauna of the forest, livi studies the flora of it. they both don't care for parties or loud crowds but will tolerate them if they can find each other. 💚

Insider info from someone whose father used to work for S6: they had REALLY bad budgeting which is why they fired so many people. The game is 100% a passion project and I highly recommend supporting it, but the devs seem to have finally had a reality check. They hired too many people with a limited budget, mass layoffs were bound to happen. I'd take those with a grain of salt and instead look forward to what their smaller team can do- and more importantly, if they learned their lesson to not go too big too quickly. "Don't buy from them bc it supports layoffs" is a bad take with Palia; buy MORE from them if anything so they can support themselves and don't have to fire even more people.
