Yeah... Second epilogue is out
Ok, so thats the... what 20th chapter? Second epilogue I believe?
oh well.
✨~~🌙~~✨
Truthless Recluse sighs.
He still missed Shadow Milk Cookie quite dearly.
They had been perfect together.
Two halves of a whole.
But those bitches ruined it.
He had watched as they screamed in agony as their souljam’s were ripped away.
And he laughed.
He tried to cover the pain of losing Shadow.
Sometimes it helped.
Most times it didn’t.
As he and the Beasts razed the whole of Earthbread to the ground, he made the ancients watch as their kingdoms crumbled.
The Cacao mountains used to be a frozen tundra.
The kingdom itself used to be next to the licorice sea.
Now it is nothing but flour.
✨~~🌙~~✨
The Berry Kingdom was a swamp.
Instead of joyous cookies getting drunk and having fun, rotting, moldy bodies littered the ground. The once beautiful waterways, now overgrown with poison ivy and death berries. The waters are dark and murky, resembling still water.
✨~~🌙~~✨
The Cheese Kingdom, once so glorious and full of riches, technological advancements ahead of the century.
Now, it is nothing but rubble.
Spice sands sift through the air, coating everything in a toxic dust. The citizens survive, though only barely. Competing in daily arena battles for Burning Spice Cookie’s entertainment.
✨~~🌙~~✨
The Silver Kingdom still stands, untouched by destruction.
Like a museum.
Even though no one is alive.
All citizens there, all of the Faeries mutilated bodies clump the grounds, spores and fungus from the surrounding forests eat away at the rotting bodies.
The palace is gone though.
Silent Salt Cookie had given Truthless Recluse the pleasure of dropping thousands of cherry bombs over the palace.
Smoke had filled the air; screams would break through the chaos.
But they were soon silenced.
✨~~🌙~~✨
Mystic Flour Cookie does nothing but meditate, sitting in her pagoda and spending time with Cloud Hatae Cookie.
Eternal Sugar naps away, living in the once splendorous Berry palace. Curled under the covers of sour cream blankets. Not a care in the world.
Burning Spice had a large pavilion built above his giant fighting arena. Like a giant pit that’s a free for all. Fun.
Silent Salt was venturing across Earthbread, searching for the St. Pastry Order. A group of rebels, that stubbornly refuses the enlightenment of the Beasts.
Truthless Recluse though?
He spends his time in the Silver Tree.
After Shadow Milk Cookie had...
Well, basically the spire collapsed.
Truthless used his magic to hollow the tree out, removing any vestiges of sealing magic, wiping it off the face of Earthbread.
He lives with Candy Apple Cookie and Black Sapphire.
They all mourn the death of Shadow Milk Cookie.
Before the spire had collapsed, Truthless went up to their room, gathering special mementos.
When he had entered the room, he was met with a surprise.
A box lay on the foot of their bed.
The recluse took uneasy steps toward the box.
Simple. Wrapped in soft velvet ribbon.
Beside the box, a note—elegant handwriting scrawled across creamy parchment.
A ribbon tied it closed, and the words, in delicate ink, read:
"For my gorgeous husband (you better not laugh when you read this).
I hope this gift is as sweet as you, and as chaotic as I am (though, let's be real, that’s a lot).
I love you so much, you big softie. This is just a little token to remind you of me... and of us.
Also, please don’t open this until AFTER the wedding. I promise it’s worth the wait.
You know I can’t resist surprises... but I’m super serious about this one.
I’ll be waiting for you—forever.
– Your Milky 💙🖤💙
P.S. Yes, I’m going to haunt you forever if you peek before the big day."
Truthless trembles as he reads the note, soft tears falling on the creamy parchment.
He shakes as he slowly, and gently undoes the ribbon, taking the lid off the box.
Inside are two animals.
A cream lamb, and a wolf pup.
They snuggle together, sleeping peacefully.
His hand shakes as he slowly pets the two as they nuzzle for his warmth.
A sob chokes out, startling the two young animals.
Truthless picks them both up, cradling them to his chest.
Sobs wrack his body, but he holds the two close.
“I love you too.”
✨~~🌙~~✨
Occasionally the Beasts gather together.
It’s always in the same place.
Burning Spice Cookie’s arena.
Either they watch competitors fight, or they go down in the pit and have some fun.
Namely; Silent Salt, Burning Spice and Truthless Recluse.
Sometimes it's for fun.
It’s mostly because they’re all bored.
✨~~🌙~~✨
Cookies and Cream have grown.
Cookies, almost reaching his full wolf form.
Cream, a large cream sheep.
Truthless takes care of them perfectly.
And the two are quite fond of each other.
Just like...
Never mind.
Even though Truthless was never a religious cookie, both as Pure Vanilla and Truthless Recluse, he prays.
He doesn’t pray to anyone specific, he just prays that wherever Shadow Milk is now...
That he’s safe and healthy.
Once a month, Recluse, Sapphire and Candy all go to Shadow’s grave.
Usually, tears are shed.
Candy Apple and Black Sapphire play with Cookies and Cream while Truthless Recluse sits next to the grave.
He talks.
Talks like Shadow Milk Cookie is there, listening.
Maybe he is.
Sometimes when a gust of wind blows, the melody of the trees surrounding the graveyard travels, and Truthless hears it.
The faint giggle of a jester.
His jester.
He doesn’t care if he’s gone.
He loves Shadow Milk.
And he will never stop.
✨~~🌙~~✨
“Black Sapphire Cookie and Candy Apple Cookie have grown, they’re both taller than me now. And don’t laugh because I’m short, that’s unfair. Sapphy turned 18 a week ago, he’s grown so much. Candy too, her birthday is in a month.”
Blueberries and Milkcrown flowers are planted around the grave.
Truthless planted them with care.
Cookies, Cream and the two young deceit cookies play nearby.
It’s nice and peaceful.
But he still misses Shadow Milk.
Sometimes near midnight, when he was on the verge of falling asleep, a noise, like the creaking of a door, keeps him up for a moment.
Every night, he’s expecting Shadow Milk Cookie to walk through the door, excitedly exclaiming:
“Honey I’m Home.”
✨~~🌙~~✨ FIN ✨~~🌙~~✨
