one thing i've noticed about the dudebro side of the rdr fandom is that they hate if you imply arthur is queer in any way but are generally accepting of the idea that bill is gay. and the reason why is simple: they like making fun of him for being gay bc he's a bit of a punching bag both in game and in fandom for comedic purposes

but they don't like making fun of the ultra sigma manly man arthur that lives in their heads and they see being gay as a bad thing and very not ultra sigma manly man, so they assume it in bad faith when ppl say arthur could be queer bc them accepting bill is queer is in bad faith as well. bill is only recognized as gay by them when it's the butt of a joke meant to be degrading in at least some capacity

idk if it's just me but i think it's weird when some rdr2 fans theorize that gertrude braithwaite is associated with the devil/is demonic based on nothing, like you rly saw a disabled and abused person trying to count past 5 and said "demon⁉️"
