For now, she decides, family was a good enough word for it. A patch-work quilt of a family with pieces that didn't quite match but the rough edges fell in line easily enough for all those wrapped up in it to be warm. Messy but better for its flaws.

Hello everyone, I’m sorry for the stretch of relative quite only to return with bad news and a request.

Tangles appetite has been down, even despite using an appetite stimulant, and he has been coughing fiercely. I brought him to work with me today and he has fluid in his chest.

We’re starting him on Salix and have an echocardiogram scheduled for February 15th to try and get a more exact diagnosis and determine what medications may help.

Currently it’s $450 for an echo but the service we use will be increasing prices by next week. I’m still paying off my current CareCredit from his last two visits, he’s hyperthyroid.

Through no choice of my own, I live in one of the most expensive place in the United States and have already been struggling with my own medical bills and general cost of living expenses.

Tangles is 18y and has been in my life longer than most people have, he is the light of my life and my reason for waking up in the morning.

I would starve, sell my car, and sell my blood for him if I need to. I will do everything in my power to keep him going for as long as he wants to keep going.

If you have even a few dollars to spare to help lighten the fincial load even a little bit we would both appreciate it immensely.
