Trippie Redd & Lil Wop Arrested For Alleged Brawl With Atlanta Rapper ATLANTA, GA – Trippie Redd and Lil Wop were reportedly arrested for an alleged brawl in Atlanta on Tuesday (May 29). According to TMZ, both rappers were booked on two misdemeanor charges, including fighting and criminal trespassing. Local ATL rapper FDM Grady hit Instagram on Tuesday (May 29) to show off injuries he said were caused by Redd and Wop. “I just got jumped by four niggas,” he says in the video. “I got a little split, a scratch on my hand. Four niggas. Bitch ass nigga Trippie Redd. Bitch ass nigga Lil Wop. “Bro, I’m telling y’all you ain’t got no pass in the city. You going to jump me, bro? This is still what I look like after four niggas jump me, bro? Four niggas, dawg?” The incident reportedly started over Redd saying something disrespectful about Grady’s girlfriend. Curren$y & Harry Fraud Release “The Marina” EP Curren$y has linked up with producer Harry Fraud once again, this time for a new EP titled The Marina. The collaboration arrives six years after the two teamed up for 2012’s Cigarette Boats EP. Spitta’s latest work features eight tracks with guest appearances by Wiz Khalifa, Action Bronson, Smoke DZA, French Montana and Street Wiz. Production is handled entirely by Fraud. Curren$y will be releasing The Marina EP with producer Harry Fraud on Wednesday (May 30). After sharing its cover art and drop date last month, Spitta posted the project’s tracklist on Instagram over the weekend. The EP, which is produced entirely by Fraud, features eight tracks. Michael Jackson's Estate Sues ABC & The Walt Disney Company Over TV Special The Estate of Michael Jackson is suing ABC and The Walt Dinsey Company for copyright infringement. The lawsuit stems from ABC’s television special The Last Days of Michael Jackson, which aired on May 24. “Disney and ABC committed willful and intentional copyright infringement when they used the Estate’s copyrighted materials without the Estate’s permission,” attorney Howard Weitzman said in a press release. “Disney’s conduct here was particularly surprising given that it has no tolerance for anyone using its copyrighted material in even the most trivial of manners. Disney and ABC’s conduct is also contrary to law and industry practice, and despite several cautionary letters from the Estate to Disney and ABC attorneys. Disney and ABC never sought the Jackson Estate’s permission to use any of the material owned by the Estate in the broadcast.” Weitzman added, “Can you imagine using Disney’s intellectual property – like Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Star Wars, The Avengers, Toy Story, and so many other works – without asking Disney’s permission or getting a license? The Estate has no choice but to vigorously protect its intellectual property, which is the lifeblood of its business.” The lawsuit lists multiple examples of copyright infringement in the TV special, including “significant and repeated excerpts” of Jackson’s songs and “substantial portions” of his most famous videos. The Estate also cites the unapproved use of footage it owns, such as performances from the Jacksons’ Triumph tour, plus clips from Estate-approved projects — specifically the 2009 feature film Michael Jackson’s This Is It and Spike Lee’s 2016 documentary Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall. Bobby Brown Wants To Slap Kanye West Over "DAYTONA" Cover Kanye West’s controversial selection for Pusha T’s DAYTONA cover art — a photo of Whitney Houston’s drug-laden bathroom — has received criticism from the late singer’s estate. Now, her ex-husband Bobby Brown is also bothered by Yeezy’s handiwork. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Brown lashed out at West after being told what the cover depicted. The former New Edition member hadn’t seen the DAYTONA artwork at the time of the conversation but that didn’t stop him from expressing his desire to slap Yeezy over it. “That’s really disgusting that he would do that,” Brown said. “That’s in really bad taste. Something should happen to Kanye. He’s already crazy. I knew that when I first met him. Now he’s pushing the bar a little bit. He needs somebody to slap him up or something. And I’m just the person to do it.” Last week, Houston’s cousin Damon Elliott also referred to the cover as being “disgusting” while speaking to PEOPLE. The chart-topping singer’s nephew Gary Michael Houston was more forgiving, blaming the person who “violated the trust” of his aunt by selling the photo to tabloids for any wrongdoing instead of West and Pusha. According to Pusha, West spent $85,000 to license the photo. The G.O.O.D.
