@scarestress didn’t ask for a starter but we’ve been friends for so long I no longer feel guilt at throwing crossover threads at them without warning

Roadhog had played the role of muscle for criminal outfits all across the world, never staying in the same place too long. It was inevitable that he ended up with a gig in Gotham, really. Working for the Scarecrow had suited him, his gas mask was the opposite of a problem when it came to issues of ‘uniform.’ A lot of the costumed folk were like that, dedicated to the aesthetic. Some would say the same for Roadhog and his own outfit, but those who would say that would end up dead so that was a moot point anyway.

He was also generally fond of having the knowledge that he could snap his boss like a twig. It was something he liked in an employer, in case of emergencies. He knew better than to trust anyone, and while he had fun scaring the shit out of people with Crane, he knew it was a matter of time before he would need to hit the road again. 

Until then, he made himself comfortable, often guarding crates of chemicals by simply leaning against them, book in hand. If anyone wanted the stuff, they would need to get through Roadhog. 

Today’s book was Frankenstien by Mary Shelley. Hog had picked it up around Halloween, but as it turns out that is a busy time of year when you’re working for the Scarecrow. Not much time spent leaning on crates.

“Stop pushing me away!” (I motdified it a lil')

Hog froze. He honestly didn’t know how to respond to that, and he hated it. He could have just taken it literally, and made a swift comment on how he didn’t need Rat in his personal space in order to guard him. But now he’s paused and his gaze has gone far beyond what his masks dark lenses allow for. Roadhog is staring at nothing, lost for words, while Mako Rutledge knows exactly what Junkrat is talking about.
