you harshly ripped your hands away from his. “jake i- i cant” you said shaking your head. “so thats it? after everything we, the two of us, have been through, you’re just gonna give up?” jake said softly. his eyes held a reflectance of hope. “it’s easier to give up than be hurt over and over again jake.” you replied after a moment of silence. “so i guess this is goodbye then.” jake said with a single tear rolling down his cheek. oh how you wanted to go up to him and embrace him in the tightest hug ever, but you couldn’t. couldn’t risk getting hurt again.

you watched as jake left your apartment. the once happy filled house was now left with sorrow and despair. you let out a choked sob as you tightly clenched your shirt. and for the rest of the day you spent crying, only this time, it was actually your fault.

"What's a hot attractive man like me doing without your number?" Jake sentence was accompanied by a wink.

"You have my number jake" you let the words out between your giggles.

"Come on just pass the vibes"

"Learn from me" you then fixed your posture. "jake" you called, and he hummed in response.

"Can I take a picture of you to prove to my friends that angels do exist?" You smirked.

Jake then started giggling shyly, feeling the heat rushing to his cheeks.

A few minutes ago, jake decided to throw a lame pick up line, as usual. So this time, you wanted to flirt back. It can't be you to be the one who always blushes.

So as each one of you kept throwing a chessy pick up line, it wasn't going to an end.

And now, you were standing in the kitchen beside jake, who had a cup of water in his hands as he kept giggling shyly at your last pick up line. You noticed how the tip of his ears turned red everytime you told him a pick up line with something cheesy in it.

And he noticed how you blushed as well.

"Ok look at this one" he said after finally calming down.

"Ok jakey"

That nickname that made his heart skip a beat.

Jake then stepped closer to you "forget about spiderman, superman, Iron man, cuz I'll be your man" he looked into your eyes while saying his sentence.

Feeling the heat rushing to your cheeks, you quickly covered your face with your hands, giggling.

"No don't cover your face, I wanna see you blushing" he tried to move your hands away, but you were insisted.

"WHY THE FUCK DO YOU WANNA SEE ME BLUSHING?"

You were a blushing mess after the pick up line, the eye contact, and the small proximity, and he can't know you were so much blushing because of him.

Trying to move your hands away, jake kept giggling as well. Slowly, you moved your hands away to meet his eyes which were lingered on you.

But he wasn't giggling at the pick up line this time, he was literally staring into your eyes.

What you didn't notice, is that jake's hands were pinning you against the counter behind you, the cup in his hand a few minutes ago is nowhere to be found.

Seeing the position you're both in right now, the red cloud on your cheeks grew bigger.

The silence in the air after removing your hands and looking into his eyes made the butterflies dance in your stomach. Moreover, the way jake looked into your eyes, biting on his lower lip, made your body burn.

"You wanna hear another one?" Jake murmured softly, his gaze never leaving yours.

You nodded.

"I like sweet things, so can I taste your lips?"

You felt your heart skipping thousands of beats inside your chest as you heard the sentence rolling down his mouth with his husky, deep voice. The flush immediately creeping to your cheeks.

Jake smirked when you didn't give him an answer, and instead, he started leaning closer to your face, maintaining eye contact.

Your eyes widened when jake's nose touched yours, and his lips were now literally hovering over yours.

"Can I taste them, love?" He mumbled against your lips, you can feel his breath hitting the skin of your chin.

And before you could answer, his phone rang.

Awkwardly, jake moved away, taking his phone out of his pocket nervously before answering. Leaving you standing there with heart racing inside your chest.

Your heartbeats increased even more when he mumbled to you a low "wait for a minute baby" before going to the living room.

“Niki,” you whispered, shaking his body lightly. The tall boy just groaned in response before turning to lay on his side. “Niki,” your tone slightly scolding him. Shaking him harder you attempt to wake him up again.

“What do you want?” he spoke voice raspy from just waking up. Niki moved so he was sitting down now looking you in the eyes. A little glare on his face because you woke him up from his peaceful sleep. “Aren’t you a cheerful one today,” sarcasm laced your voice. The boy just gave an unamused smile back in response. “Get ready I’m taking you out.” shoving clothes into his hand, you begin to walk out of his bedroom. “y/n it’s 11:07,” he whispered looking at the time. “I know, just get ready please.”

Shaking his head Niki stood up from his bed. Stretching his limbs he picked up the clothes you gave him and walked into the bathroom to get ready. You gave him a dark green zip-up jacket, white tank top and black pants. After changing and fixing his hair he walked out into the living room to see you sitting there on your phone waiting for him. 

“Let’s go pretty boy.” rushing over you grab his hand and walk over to put on your shoes. Exiting the dorms you and the soon-to-be birthday boy make your way down the streets of Seoul. The night was beautiful, stars glittering from their place in the galaxy as the moon shone down on you both. The wind was blowing softly as you and Niki walked hand in hand. 

“Where are we going?” quirking his eyebrow he asked. “To the convenience store first,” you say, wrapping an arm around his. Humming in response he enjoyed this moment with you. Reaching your first destination you both go and get snacks to eat, and drinks. The lady behind the counter smiled at you both as she saw you walk around. Niki’s hand wrapped around shoulder now as you both spoke about something. 

After messing around and grabbing stuff off the shelves you and Niki make your way towards the old lady. “Hello,” she spoke smiling warmly at you both. You watched the lady scan the items, getting money to pay. “That’ll be 24781 won,” the kind lady told you. “Oh that’s really cheap,” Niki said, eyebrows furrowing, “A discount just for you both,” she chuckled before handing you your bag. 

Her eyes lit up as she saw you both turn to face one another at the same time. You both raised you fist before looking the other in their eyes. “Rock paper scissors shot,” the two teenagers say before making a hand gesture. “Ha I win!” you exclaimed, walking over and paying the lady. Her eyes crinkled watching the cute interaction between the couple. 

Bowing once you both walk out of the store. Niki held the bag full of snacks in one hand and the other held yours. “Where to next?” your boyfriend asked. “You’ll see,” smirking you looked at him from the corner of your eye. He just sighed in response to you.

Your next destination was your house. Your parents were out of town so you were home alone. The time was 11:57 now.  Taking the snacks from Niki you put them on the kitchen counter before you turn around and grab his hand again. “Come outside with me,” you state walking towards the door that leads to your backyard. 

Niki walked behind you trying to figure out what was happening. “N/n what are you doing,” his deep voice sounded from where he was standing. Facing him you tell him to come closer to you. His long legs carried him towards you. As soon as he was standing in front of you, you pulled him into a hug. Arms resting around his waist, smiling Niki hugged you back. Leaning down to rest his chin on top of your head. The clock struck 12 am as you looked at the watch on your wrist.

“Happy birthday my love,” your soft voice said. Niki felt his heartbeat get faster when he saw you pull away from the hug to look at him in the eyes. Your eyes shining like stars. “Thank you pretty,” he said heart still hammering in his chest. Leaning in he hugged you tightly again, squeezing you hard. “Niki can’t breathe,” you wheezed out, slapping his arm. “Oh shit sorry,” letting go he checked to see if you were okay. “Here’s your present.” handing him a box that was hidden in a tree branch. Chuckling at you he took the box from your hand. Looking at it carefully he wondered what was inside. 

Opening the lid he saw two promise rings inside of it. Niki looked up from the box to watch your expression. “Do you like it?” you asked, voice unsure thinking he didn’t like your present. “I love it y/n,” he said suddenly feeling emotional. “Why the sun and moon?” he questioned curious. “Because you’re the sun to my moon,” you mumbled feeling shy all of a sudden.

“Oh you are so in love with me,” Niki teased you. “Shut up,” rolling your eyes you picked up the promise ring with the sun on it. Taking his left hand in yours, you slipped the piece of metal onto his middle finger. “Not on my ring finger?” he joked. “Keep that up and it’ll never happen,” you bite back. 

“We’ll see about that lovely,” he said. Taking your left hand in his he put the moon ring on your middle finger as well. 

“I love you,” Niki said, kissing you on your forehead. “Not as much as I love you,” you said, burying your face in his chest. Letting out a low chuckle he threw his head back. “Whatever helps you sleep at night.” 

“Let’s go inside yeah,” Niki said, placing another kiss on your forehead. Humming in response you grab his hand in yours and walk inside. The rest of the night was spent giggling and cuddling while you both ate the snacks you bought while watched barbie movies for the billionth time.
