God, Komaru thinks, why do her nerves always have to kick in at times like these? Steeling her courage, she takes a deep breath and tries to stand confidently, though it wouldn't surprise her if she just ends up looking ridiculous instead.
In her defense... the person standing before her is rather intimidating. With eyes that seem almost empty, but a gaze that's full of something incomprehensible - he stands tall above her, making her feel strangely small in a way that's hard to explain. Still, though. She can't back out now!
"Can I talk to you for a moment? I know I'm a stranger and all, but - I swear it's important!"

wait... I JUST HAD A VERSE/FIC IDEA I LOVE
hear me out. this is self-indulgent as hell but the idea is that komaru time travels back to before junko destroyed the world... but she has a ghost!junko stuck and attached to her at the same time. obviously she's horrified by this, but she still wants to use the chance she's been given to try and change the future.
and somehow... she manages to get ghost!junko to work with her in order to stop her living self?? i'm not sure how it'd work yet, maybe ghost!junko wants her body back and this'll somehow help her get it, maybe she goes along with it for entertainment because she already knows how her old plans will end... idk yet. but the idea is that komaru gets into hope's peak (possibly early, I forgot how the ages/timeline works WHOOPS) using ghost!junko's help/analysis skills, shocking everyone.
if i was feeling really self-indulgent i could give ghost!junko a "semi-redemption" arc... the living junko would be just as villainous as ever, though. like maybe the ghost junko is more of an "aspect"/copy of the original junko, so she's a little different to her in essence??? that part wouldn't be necessary though. IDK I JUST WANT TO PLAY THIS OUT A LOT NOW
#ooc#in my heart. all my faves would get involved. juzo somehow regaining his memories of the future and being like wtf... all my other muses to#but again none of that would be needed lol#i say “semi-redemption” for junko because she'd still be like. have NO remorse for what she did in the past. lol#she's still kind of the worst just not. ending the world this time; lmao#also maybe makoto and some other key dr1 characters could end up recalling their memories of the killing game/past timeline#but have no idea about komaru's situation??? that could be interesting...#i'd love to force them to go against each other somehow but no clue how that'd work.#ANYWAY SEND POST. thank you so much for the thoughts, this was a really nice surprise to log in to! that makes a lot of sense and is super interesting actually - i don't have too much to add having not played through it myself, but i definitely find myself agreeing with a lot, particularly the blaming of the player for a "killing game" falling flat. (assuming that was the intended message, of course.) thank you for the detailed answer! <33
