Merry Christmas really means...
When we say “merry Christmas” and feel it in our bones; maybe standing in front of an open fire or catching snowflakes in the dark; what we really mean is: How beautiful life can be when we make it our priority to be here in the now.

I wanna let you know that I am writing about you
That the pages and reflections all derive from you.
I wanna let you know that I am writing about you
But how can I let you know
Without either sounding pathetic or dramatic
Or like I need your approval
Or like nothing happened in my life since you.
I wanna let you know that I am writing about you
That since “us”
You have been with me even more
Even more intensively
Than when we were “us”.
I wanna let you know that I am writing about you.
I am not obsessed
But “we” and what was “us” and what since have become separately “you” and “I”
Is with me in every single step I take
In every single turn of my head.
I wanna let you know
That I have let go of you
But I will never let go
Of what “you” added to “me”.

Yeah. Try loving someone when they are a pain in the ass. Try practicing and feeling love for the same person, making it real instead of waiting for the next firecracker to take away your attention from the hard shit.
And feel appreciated, feel beautiful, feel unique in a world with 7 billion people. Because you showed your true self and let your partner be his true self.
“Dying is overrated. Human sentimentality has twisted it into the ultimate act of love. Biggest load of bullshit in the world. Dying for someone isn’t the hard thing. The man that dies escapes. Plain and simple. Game over. End of pain…Try living for someone. Through it all-good, bad, thick, thin, joy, suffering. That’s the hard thing.”

And sometimes you never meet again. There was just that one intriguing encounter and all you can do is either appreciate it as a blessing - or sob about its absence for the rest of your life.
“Life is a series of encounters and farewells. I believe we grow in the process.
For now, it is very sad but we will meet again.
We can hope for that day to come soon, and we will be able to greet each other with much bigger welcome.”
Kim Jonghyun (Shinee)
