My best friend's birthday is today (@thegroovyfeline). And as a gift for her, I made this silly little video based on her favorite film "Mr. Bug Goes to Town". We watched it together last night (twice), and she loved it. 🥰

This is pretty much all I sketched within the past two months. It's comparitively not a lot, but I'm still happy with the turnout. Hopefully I'll feel more motivated to doodle as the year goes on. ^^
As a VERY belated birthday gift for my best friend, @thegroovyfeline, I turned an artist mannequin doll into her favorite character, Smack the mosquito from “Mr. Bug Goes to Town”.
I sculpted the nose and hat out of clay, painted the face as well as the rest of the doll, sewed together a shirt and some pants (including the abdomen/tail), and made a pair of wings and attached them to the back.
There had been some reluctancy in going into this project, as I was winging a lot of what I was doing and trying stuff I’ve basically never done before like sculp and hand-sew, and I was worried about messing up and ruining everything.
But I am INCREDIBLY PROUD with the result. It’s just so cool to see that I made THIS with my own hands and creativity. I also spent $0 on this because everything I used came from stuff laying about in my room or around the house.
Got my sketches for the month here! I notice there’s a lot of bug-centric characters. That’s in part of my friend getting her bug-mania into my brain. Thanks a lot @thegroovyfeline! -_-
