it’s funny how similar the person is but how differently im approaching

this time more carefully, being more wary, and significantly less attached

bittersweet in that it shows growth, but also how it shows that it was somewhat traumatic to the heart

started to be more mindful, especially, in social settings like sunday by asking, incorporating, observing, and physically placing

Consistency is a love language. Expressing boundaries with sensitivity is a love language. Honoring a person’s need for alone time is a love language.  Acknowledging the risk it took someone to share their vulnerability is a love language.  Tolerating and validating a different perspective is a love language.  Learning to manage our projections and expectations is a love language.

my heart is finally starting to find joy, true joy, without you here. think i’ll be able to get by without feeling the same heavy emptiness and dullness that always comes around during this time from you not being here.

it was super funny hearing your name coming from the exact person who reminds me of you.

super strange seeing the person who echoes you, talking about you and the things one has heard about you

it’s been a very strange month, and i think it’s finally my heart’s last haul of fully coming to terms with realizing you won’t be back after all. your third birthday without you here comin right up.
