"What got me into exploring?" Kai pauses for a moment, brows furrowing as he thought deeply for the proper answer to give Lee. "Well, it always seemed fun. Get to be a hero in your own right if you make a name for yourself. Plus exploring gives me the chance to travel, sure this place is great and all, but seeing places for the first time? Now you can't tell me the thought of that doesn't make you a little bit excited?"

Well from what I've read ultra beasts are basically alien pokemon from a place called Ultra Space. There's a lot of them and they were given different nicknames. I'm part Blacephalon and Eon is a Nihilego I think.

Um hello...I'm sorry if this sounds a bit rude but is that an ultra beast on your head? I remember reading about it and since I'm part ultra beast too I was hoping we could be friends too...

Ellie: According to the friendly people at the lab I live at, it’s helping me stay healthy! I was born really small and weak, so they gave me Eon! They don’t really do much, or talk at all, but I still like them!

*Ellie giggles and shakes her head*

Ellie: Oh, I’m sorry, I’m rambling, aren’t I? I just get so excited cause I don’t get to talk to others often…but of course I’ll be your friend!

*Ellie’s face takes on a curious look as she tilts her head a little.*

His voice held genuine curiosity instead of malice despite the question. “In my experience you’re better off without em anyways, what’s it matter that some idiot made you? Live your life for yourself kid.”

Calliope shouted at the gimmighoul with a growl.

My parents aren't deadbeats! You don't know a damn thing about them!

As she yelled the markings on her face began to glow, which caused Atena to perk up.

At: Calliope dear...

The indeevior went to place a hand on Calliope's shoulder but it was quickly slapped away.

Calli: No!

Calliope backed away, tears pouring down her face as the glowing turned into flashing as if counting down.

I'm tired of being called a freak! Tired of getting told my parents never wanted me! Tired of feeling unwanted! I want my mom and dad!

I want them to tell me they love me!

BOOM

With that Calliope's head explodes, which catches everyone off guard.

The hybrid's eyes widened as the god addressed her sternly, flinching as she explained why she did what she did. Her eyes began to water as tears slowly fell, she didn't know what to think. Was her kind truly monsters?

Would others consider her dangerous like this "Infection"? Did her parents not want her because they thought she would become a monster? All these thoughts rolled around in her head as she backed away.

I-I see...I-I'm sorry for bothering you...I would never endanger the life of another, but Ms. Atena told me that the world is big and not everyone has the same ideas as me.

Coilailpe turns and walks away to find an exit, silently sobbing.

I hope the best for you and your kind miss, even if you don't believe me...

Coilailpe slowly approached Rising Moon, it was clear in her demeanor that she was nervous and hesitant. Nonetheless, once she was within earshot she cleared her throat and spoke.

U-Um hello.

She bows.

You're a lunala right...? I read that lunala and solgaleo often have to fight rouge ultra beasts and...

She froze for a bit, taking a deep breath.

Since I'm part ultra beast I wanted to ask if that's something you have to do. Do you have any ill will against them?

The god stiffened in the presence of the hybrid. She stared coldly at her; she recognized that color, but it was just a pup. Were they infected? They acted normal, not lashing out like the beasts she huffed out, seemingly getting stricter with her voice

"I would not advise you to be here child; everything here is designed to hurt you," she said in a warning before lowering her head but her gaze never went away from Coilailpe "Im sorry to say that but, you area threat to me, other gods...and...my kin..." she hesitated at last part but agreed with it in her mind before lifting her head back up and staring down at the small riolu

"You guessed it right, it IS something I need to do to protect us; thats why our lesser Lunalas exist and in Solgaleos relam lesser Solgaleos, they patrol the space where they could break in." she said before huffing out, "IN this universe, Im not sure if the Infection is a good guy or not but here he infects others and turns them feral, different, something that looks like you" so they arent welcome and wont be any time soon-"

Wo managed to observe what had happened, and had kept as calm as he could while helping to drive the threat away. He was scared at first, but became unimpressed after hearing what was used to refer to him.

Wo: "I hope we see very little of whoever that was..! That was harrowing, but I don't forgive the use of such rude descriptions..!" (He looked at Coilailpe) "Are you alright? After an encounter like that, one hopes that you can recover from it.."

Coil: I-I'm fine I guess...I don't know...

The hybrid was shaking in Atena's arms, her ears and tail drooping.

The indeevoir turned to Mouse and Grey, a shaky look on her face.

Atena: I suppose you wouldn't know right off the bat but that was an ultra beast an alien subspecies of pokemon. The one you saw earlier was UB-02 Beauty otherwise known as Pheromosa...

When Atena looked over to Kuiper she almost did a double take, not expecting a palkia to show up much less show concern for them. It took a while for the initial shock to subside before she spoke.

They...they tried to take Coilailpe away....

Lee: Take her away?!

Sundrop: B-But why would they do that?!

Atena: .....

Coil: M-Ms. Atena...?

CW KIDNAP ATTEMPT

Coilailpe slowly made her way further inland. She was lost in thought and wasn't paying attention to her surrounding enough to notice she was being followed.

Blacephalon...I'm half blacephalon...half alien...why...why did they leave me...?

As Coilailpe continued her trek a figure slowly inches closer to her, getting ready to strike.

Maybe I should go and find Ms. Atena. She might kn-

As if something clicked in her brain the riolu lunged forward, narrowly missing the claws that swiped at her.

??: Hm. It seems like I missed, so the other hybrid has been training you after all.

Coilailpe's heart dropped as she turned around. Once she fully turned she was faced with a rather tall pheromosa.

Coil: W-Who are you?

??: That doesn't matter to you child. What does matter is you coming with me.

Coil: No! I don't know you! Where are you gonna take me?!

The ultra beast slowly makes their way towards Coilailpe.

??: Children should learn when to shut up and listen, especially hybrid freaks like you.

Coil: I-I'm not a freak...

The pheromosa was about arm's length from the stunned riolu when...

COILAILPE!

Atena suddenly appeared, her hand glowing with psychic energy once she noticed what was going on.

Get. Away. From. Her. Now!

??: Tsk. And why would I? You think you can take me alone?

??: No, but maybe we can!

Lee runs over with Pubby and Sundrop, bringing a small group of mons with them. This made the ultra beast visibly annoyed.

??: if it had been the oversized worm and the ridiculous fox I would have laughed at you. However, I can't possibly understand how you managed to ally yourself with a shaymin such as this and moreover a god. What's even more confusing is this pitiful form they take...

After a sigh, the pheromosa turns and walks away past Coilailpe, who flinches as they do.

You win this time but next time you won't be so lucky.

After confirming the pheromosa was no longer in the area, Atena ran over and hugged Coilailpe.

Atena: It's ok now. I'm here Coilailpe.

Coil: M-Ms. Atena...we need to talk...

The gang is available for regular asks and will remain on the island for a while.

Fallen gives Coilailpe a curious glance. "I think your fur patterns are lovely! It makes me remember a story my mother told me about a cosmic beast who enjoys performing. I think it's called a Blacephalon these days, but I'm getting ahead of myself." Fallen returned his attention to his main question. "I'd heard you wanted to perform one day. Is there a skill you learned recently?"

Thank you! I still have to get used to getting compliments, not everyone compliments my fur.

Coilailpe looked surprised at the mention of a performing Blacephalon.

I didn't know Blacephalons perform! Is that why my parents left...?

The hybrid quickly shakes her head.

A-Anyway! I don't have any particular skills worth noting aside from taking off my head, but I did read that Blacephalons can make their own heads explode I wanna learn that!

Coilailpe frowns, tilting her head just a bit.

I mean, I get into the occasional trouble with my friends from time to time but I don't think I'm destructive...what do you mean by that?

The Cleffa looked at Coilailpe, eyes shining under the stars. She raised her tiny arms towards her, as though wanting to be picked up. Capital, instead, gently put their hand on their head, looking at the Riolu.

No, she has no name. I am refusing to name her, as that is her parents' job, and I am merely a temporary caretaker. It would be cruel to "steal that" from them, would it not?

They, however, took a second glance at Coilailpe. They tilted their head to the side while they addressed her.

I do not tend to meet a lot of Ultra Beasts, much less hybrids of them. Curious. Are you as destructive as they tend to be?
