Arthur Morgan

When he first hears your thick british accent, he’s surprised. He doesn’t meet many british people in the states, but it’s always an adventure when he does.

He likes to poke fun at you with your own phrase, and your phrases sound utterly ridiculous in his southern drawl. “Bloody hell, sweetheart!”

Arthur laughs when you get all mad about it because that’s when you sound like your not speaking a lick of english.

He pokes fun at you, asking if you’ve been around Scottish people for a long time because he can’t understand you. Speaking of you getting mad…

The first time he heard you angry, he damn near jumped out of his skin. Your angry and thick accent busted his eardrums half way to hell. He can’t even recall what you were angry about.

Overall, Arthur likes to playfully poke fun at you, and you learn to poke fun at him back about his accent.

John Marston

When John first hears you speak, he’s silent. Dead. Silent. He finds your voice so alluring, but he’d never admit it.

It shows when you speak or when you’re mad; he goes absolutely silent. If you’re arguing with him, he even purposely eggs you on to hear that voice rip through the air.

John mocks you as well, constantly making references to how Great Britain lost the revolutionary war.

This causes you to poke back about his own country fighting itself. He has nothing to say after that.

He loves hearing your stories so he can hear your voice; god, he just loves your voice in general. (He thinks he’s being sneaky, but he isn’t.)

Charles Smith

Charles doesn’t really comment on your accent too much. He will joke about the Revolutionary War here and there, but nothing too serious.

When you bring up differences between the States and your home country, he can’t help but snicker when you complain. Your phrases have him laughing even before you properly finish your sentence.

“That just bloody fuckin’ swell!”

“Mary-beth, where did my trousers go?”

“Bollocks! Marston, you absolute muppet!”

Usually Charles tries to keep the peace between certain members of the gang, but you’re just so amusing.

Sadie Adler

Sadie has an amused smile—she tries to hide it, but fails miserably—as you speak to her the first time, but she decides to hold back.

As you get closer to her, you realize how hilarious you are to her. Sadie asks you to say different things and you’re not aware it’s for her amusement until she’s actually wheezing.

You walk away after that.

After a while, she likes to you just talk. She will find a book and give it you to read out loud just so she can hear your voice go through the words.

“C’mooon, I promise it isn’t to laugh at ya anymore!”

You end up giving in and you turn to see if she’s laughing, but she is just listening intently. You stopped your sentence and she immediately demands you continue.

Javier Escuella

As someone who also has an accent, he isn’t too phased. Javier sure finds you interesting, but he doesn’t make it a big deal like the others.

When you get closer, he has a great idea; give you a couple of phrases in Spanish to say. He already knows you’ll fuck up, but he finds it funny. Imagine his surprise when you’re able to pronounce most of it.

Javier loves to tell stories about his home and where he came from, so he asks you the same questions he asks himself when he wants to tell a story.

Javier asks questions about your home country often, he likes to make comparisons between Mexico, the States, and Great Britain. He finds it interesting.

If you’re flirty, he likes to flirt back with his own phrases. “Well, aren’t you just cheeky?” “Llamándome travieso, ¿verdad? Puedo mostrarte travieso.”

started planning a red dead redemption 2 modern / college au with @yonder-ous which started as a silly little headcanon of "arthur and albert mason are boyfriends, arthur shares a room with charles châtenay because he didn't know charles smith's surname to write on the accommodation form for uni" and has turned into an entire rewrite of the main story missions, altered to fit in the au. everyone lives au, too!

would anyone be interested in reading this, because the planning doc is 4000+ words and we haven't even added any stranger missions in yet. or written the epilogue
