sam:

sam was in his usual state of being covered in various smudges of oil and dirt, his curls messy and glasses slightly off kilter as he sat with various metal parts surrounding him. not bothering to look up from one of his blue prints, sam smiled at whoever seemed to be near him. “if you aren’t here to bring me some food or water, or coffee, then i think we’re gonna have a problem.”

“ you’re lucky i carry food everywhere ”

lily commented, digging inside her purse until she could find one of the mini m&m packages she’s packed for today. carefully stepping around to avoid ruining the messy system he seems to have going on around him, she offered the plastic with a bright grin,

“ good enough ? or should i find some water nearby ? ”

          lily’s immediate response had emmaline feeling even giddier than before. having people in her life that wanted to be around her made her feel special. now that she knew what it felt like she never wanted to go back. she woudn’t let herself go back to how things were before. her people were her people. with each kiss lily placed on her face, emmaline giggled, moving to wrap her arms around the other woman and nuzzle into her neck.   ❝ oh lils! you’re just the best. i love you so much! i’m so glad we’re together again.❞

“ and you’re competing hard for that title,  ”

she commented with a bright smile, her hands drifting down to em’s lower back and squeezing tight. hugs weren’t rare in the moone household but they weren’t common. leylah didn’t live there, ebony appeared in their life only a year or so ago, dad was always insecure about his crocodile appearance for physical affection, and mom was mom. it made her understand and love every affection she’s given. there’s a hum in her throat as her body relaxed, face pressed against blonde locks.

red eyes shined with amusement while her jaw dropped in shock at that accusation. that’s new. definitely new. her ? not fun ? biting back a laugh, lily moved to straddle her thighs and started poking her sides, aiming for ticklish spots.

“ say sorry roe. come on, say ‘ i’m sorry oh fun-loving and amazingly gorgeous lilith for implying that you’re not fun. ’ ”

alexandra:

Alexandra was struggling to keep calm. She was trapped–never a good start for her mental health–and there was someone out there. Probably who’d cut all the power. Possibly who wanted to bring harm to people here. As unlikely as it was, Alexandra’s mind could only point those pieces in one direction. Killgrave. 

It didn’t help that she couldn’t check on the people she most wanted to. They weren’t in the bio lab with her. But sitting alone, she felt a presence. It was familiar, though she couldn’t explain how she knew who it was. “Lily?” @hotashellstrom

worried. worried and hungry were the two main emotions running through lily, ever since this whole thing started. while the last one was easily solved by her being stuck in the cafeteria, it didn’t stop the first one. she was concerned. about her sister. her classmates. her friends. alex. how they were coping. if they were alright. she’d wanted to leave, to make sure they were, but the teachers had heavily discouraged her from physically leaving...

which meant using magic. closing her eyes to concentrate, lily tried to find alex in this entire school, to find a path that could lead her spirit there instead of accidentally ending somewhere halfway across the world or worse, in gramp’s palace. it took several minutes but she found her. projecting an image of herself and sending it to the bio lab, her spirit slowly walked close, ghostly light brightening up the place a bit.

“ hey ”

she smiled brightly in greeting, moving to kneel down on the floor in front of alex. her hand instinctively tried brushing her cheek, only to pull back when she didn’t feel anything.

“ what are you doing sitting all alone here, gorgeous ? are you alright ? ”

lily now has: 1. had two personalities in the past. one’s the sweet, awkward, innocent (kinda like june) personality she gained from living with her mom, june. the other’s the cruel, manipulative, dominant personality (succubus) she gained from her living in hell with satana. 2. her succubus side pretty much became like the enchantress, only to be pulled out when she needed. which was unhealthy since it’s not another being she’s chained, it’s her, it’s this half of her. 3. succubus side got stronger during puberty, got out, gave her a rebellious teenage year. she left her home (thinking that her parents wouldn’t love her for her, since they prefer one side of her), ended in streets, got picked up by a sugar daddy who used her for her body but assured that he loved her. and when that ended, she’d get picked up by several more. 4. gained an unhealthy belief that showering people with physical affection and giving herself to them was the only way to gain love. 5. huge chunks of her personalities were merged by magic. making her innocent yet flirtatious. sweet yet cruel. submissive yet dominant. her normal self leans to the good side but using her powers makes her personality lean to the other side. 6. favorite: tends to use both sides to her advantage. since her human side falls hard (being optimistic about true love and romance), when she gets heart broken her succubus side grabs those emotions and buries it (since it only cares about sexual connection). it’s an unhealthy way of coping with love lost, but its easier for her since she doesn’t want to lose any friendship she had.

It didn’t take her long to change into something nice. top, jeans, jacket. it’s familiar and yet at the same time it’s not the type of thing she has a habit of wearing when teaching. still she greatful for the action, it gives her something to focus on. something that wasn’t lily. there nearly always seemed to be emotions in of guilt connected to the other and that really wasn’t something she was ready to deal with.

Quickly texting the other that she was sat in the lobby she grins as the other appears at her side.

“How do I look? Better?”

red eyes were focused on the screen of her phone when she entered the lobby. scrolling through different emails. at the sound of haley, she looked up, quickly checking her outfit and nodding in approval.

“ you look gorgeous. definitely maintaining that 10 out of 10. ”

lily commented, switching apps and raising her phone to point the camera at the blonde.

“ smile to the camera for me, hal ? please ? ”

          ❝ i doubt that you could ever give me a disappointin’ kiss, lils. ❞   as much as she enjoyed getting attention, emma loved showering the people she cared about in attention. lily wasn’t an exception to that.  ❝ what made you decide to come and give me kisses? did you miss me that much?❞

“ of course i did, ”

her answer was immediate. no hesitation. no second thinking. of course she missed emma. who wouldn’t ? all that sweetness and mischief. that great mix of good and bad. lily may dislike the idea of being bad, preferring to stay neutral and not disappoint her parents, but she enjoyed watching her go at it. reaching upward, she cupped emma’s cheeks and started peppering her face with kisses. “ why wouldn’t i miss you ? ”

           ❝ as you wish, darling. now that we’ve decided that, i’m ready for my kisses.❞ she leaned forward even more, taking pleasure in teasing the other girl as much as she could. lyra could go a long time just building up the tension, despite how much she wanted someone. in her mind it was always more fun with a build up.  ❝ besides, i’m pretty sure you’ll end up with a pretty amazing surprise.❞

“ doubt that... ”

lily murmured, taking one more step to press herself further against lyra. empty fingers reached up, lightly tracing her jaw, down to her lips. she may have gotten her mama’s flirty personality, but she did gain her mother and grandfather’s temper, or better yet, their pettiness. stopping her trace of the other girl’s bottom lip, she pressed the plastic bag of hershey’s kisses against her chest, tapping the bag with a cheerful grin.

“ have fun with that kiss, cutie. ”

the elder lets out a genuine laugh shaking her head. “it really is a good job i love you,” 

the fact that she can say that now was a miracle entirely down to lily. an after shock of whatever the pair used to have between them. she does still care about her of course, lily coming to be one of her closest friends even if they weren’t sneaking make out sessions anymore.

“sounds good, i’ll try not to keep you waiting,”

did her heart just... really ? at that ? gramps... what the hell ? teeth lightly bit the inside of her cheek, trying to remind herself not to put any romantic attachment to that statement. especially when it was a sentence she often gave away to people she was friends with. she blamed the fact that it had taken so long to get haley to say those words to her, and that every time she had said it when they were together, lily would blush and grow more in love with her.

playfully winking and forcing out a laugh, the young succubus nodded in acceptance and created a shooing motion with her hands.

“ alright, go. just wear something casual okay ? ”
