HAIKYUU SEXUALITY HEADCANONS

🦉 Fukurodani Edition 🦉

Washio Tatsuki: Gay. When I first sat down and decided to give most of these characters a sexuality headcanon, I saw him and my first thought was "yeah there is no way he is into women." So I cannot for the life of me see him as anything other than a functional gay man. He definitely thinks Konoha and Akaashi are very pretty. Also thinks that Inarizaki's #2 middle blocker is very handsome.

Sarukui Yamoto: Bisexual with a female preference. I honestly really ship him with Shirofuku and I have no idea why. I just went "they are totally dating" one day and it's kind of just stuck. But I can also see him getting together with Komi or even just another boy (on his team or not) in general. He's a bit of a bi disaster sometimes but he's mostly functioning. Totally refers to Shirofuku as his wife later in their relationship.

Bokuto Koutarou: Pansexual. Now I know what you're all probably thinking. And I'm not gonna lie and say you aren't right, but you're only half right. I can see Bokuto having the ability to love someone SO much. He loves anyone and everyone. Obviously has a thing for Akaashi but also thinks Konoha is very pretty and handsome. Thought Shirofuku was very beautiful when he saw her for the first time. Total b(romance) with Kuroo.

Akaashi Keiji: Pansexual. I am quite unsure why I think this label fits him so well. Obviously he has an thing for Bokuto, but I can also see him falling in love with Ennoshita or Konoha. Thinks Suzumeda is very pretty as a female and could see himself dating her if he felt any attraction towards her. He's still a bit unsure of his identity, but he likes the label pansexual so he sticks with it despite what anyone else says.

Konoha Akinori: Bisexual with no preference. So I sort of saw him as gay when I first started making headcanon lists. Then I started seeing the potential of him with girls and decided he would be bisexual. Now he has had crushes on every single one of his teammates, cause he just loves easily like that, but Washio, Komi and Akaashi are the only ones still going strong. Thinks the managers are too pretty for this world. Also thinks that Kai is very very handsome and that he wouldn't mind kissing him–

Onaga Wataru: Panromantic Asexual. Now he gives me the vibe of a sex repulsed asexual. He's still a bit nervous about the label though because it's all very new to him. Romantically, I can see him be interested in everyone on the team at least once. Definitely nursed a puppy crush on Bokuto during his first few months as a first year. Thinks Akaashi is very pretty (like everyone else though for real). He thinks Washio is so goddamn handsome it is not even funny, like holy shit please praise his blocks more–

Komi Haruki: Pansexual. Can and will hit on anything that doesn't say no. He's always on the lookout for somebody to love. Has the tiniest little crush on Konoha. Appreciates the fact that both Washio and Bokuto can bench press him with those tree trunks they have for arms. Thinks Onaga is cute but like in a boyish way. Probably had a puppy crush on Suzumeda in their first year after he saw her giggle at something stupid Bokuto did.

Suzumeda Kaori: Straight Asexual. Now contrary to what the rest of the fandom headcanons her as, I just cannot see her crushing on any girls. I also see her as sex repulsed like Onaga, hence her joking with the team about how her and Onaga are the team's "real aces". She's very supportive of her teammates and will punch someone out if they give her team any trouble.

Shirofuku Yukie: Straight. Now I would be lying if I said shipping her with Sarukui had nothing to do with if, but similarly to Suzumeda I just cannot see her being interested in other girls at all. She's very comfortable with herself and her identity and is very supportive of the rest of the team. She does think Bokuto is cute, but in a "not attracted to you" kind of way. Probably dated a boy or two in junior high before Sarukui.

Excerpt from a Haikyuu The Last Of Us AU that I will probably never write an actual fic for

Hello there fellow tumblr people!! This is my first time sharing any of my writing with you all, so I hope you all enjoy it. As stated above, this is set in The Last Of Us universe, but I like to think that it is vague enough that no knowledge of the universe is required. Please do let me know what you guys think!!!

Kuroo exhaled heavily, his breath shallow as he wiped his machete with a cloth. The cloth itself was already stained from soaking up who knows how many blood stains off his weapons, but he had stopped caring about that a long time ago. As far as he was concerned, as long as the cloth could continue to wipe blood off his weapons, he didn't care how dirty it was. After a few moments of gently running the cloth along his blade, he deemed it clean enough and returned it to the sheath on his thigh.

"I think that's all of them. Are you alright?" He glanced towards his charge, his eyebrows furrowed in concern as he watched Lev lean against a tree, his breaths coming and going in short, rapid pants. His normally pale face was flushed a dark red from exertion, strands of his silver hair sticking to his sweaty forehead. It was a few moments before Lev finally regained his breath enough to talk.

"Y-yeah, Kuroo," he said, glancing at one of the dead infected out of the corner of his eye, his mouth morphing into an irritated scowl. "I j-just hate... when these assholes... keep somehow... fi-finding us..."

"Hey, watch your mouth." He said more out of reflex than anything, too used to being around Yamamoto and reprimanding him for his hot-headed tendencies. "Just because it's the apocalypse doesn't mean that I'm gonna allow my child to curse."

Lev's already reddened face became even redder at Kuroo's words, although Kuroo wasn't really sure if it was because he called him his child or because he scolded him for cursing. He lowered his head slightly, his lips pursed as he moved to get up from his sitting position. "Yeah, yeah, cursing is bad, I'm only fifteen years old, blah blah, blah."

Kuroo smiled despite himself, happy to see that Lev wasn't that affected by the fiasco with Yaku a few days ago. Lev had been trembling when he yanked him out the door, facing Yaku's anger in such close proximity was obviously very frightening for him. He knew that he messed up majorly, bringing up Shibayama the way he did. He was blinded by his anger, angry that Yaku had lectured him like almost everyone he met had, telling him that he was not the right person to take care of a group of teenagers. Teenagers that he loved as if they were actually his own children—

"Kuroo? Are you okay?"

Kuroo jolted slightly, Lev's voice hitting him like a truck as he was pulled from his inner musings. He blinked quickly, staring at Lev as he watched him step carefully over the scattered bodies of the infected, his backpack hanging off one shoulder. His eyes were wide, concern swirling within the green depths. He shook his head lightly, clearing his head of all his thoughts about his ex-boyfriend. He would deal with his emotions later, away from the watchful eyes of his kids.

He smiled at Lev. "Yeah, kiddo. I'm alright. Let's go on and get out of here before more show up."

HAIKYUU SEXUALITY HEADCANONS

🐈‍⬛ Nekoma Edition 🐈‍⬛

Kuroo Tetsuro: Bisexual with no preference. Now obviously Kuroo likes girls somewhat (Long hair, short hair scene with Yaku) but I can see him as just not really giving a shit about whether his partner is a boy or a girl. He'll get together with a boy should he ever get a crush on one (SAWAMURA DAICHI I SAID WHAT I SAID) and be SUCH a awkward dork about it.

Kai Nobuyuki: Bisexual with no preference. Yeah I can see Kai dating a girl for a few months before getting into high school. He is very comfortable with his sexuality, but lord if pretty boys (Konoha) don't make him feel like a disaster sometimes.

Yaku Morisuke: Bisexual with a slight female preference. Has the tiniest little crush on Lev's sister. Very much likes short haired girls. Kai was the first boy he ever showed interest in. He hates the fact he secretly finds Lev hot.

Yamamoto Taketora: Pansexual. This is literally 50% vibes and 50% just wanting to ship him with some boys. He really likes pretty girls though. Surprisingly not that interested in the beauty that is Lev's sister.

Kozume Kenma: Panromantic Asexual. I'm not real sure where the panromantic part is coming from, it just feels right. The asexual part is mostly cause I don't see him being interested in anyone sexually. He just wants to play video games.

Fukunaga Shouhei: Pansexual. Unlike Kenma, I see him as pansexual simply because vibes. I feel like he wouldn't care at all about the gender, he just wants to love and be loved. I can also see him being asexual.

Inuoka Sou: Pansexual. He's just a happy guy with a big heart. He thinks girls and boys are both cute in their own ways. Definitely has a puppy crush on Shibayama. Thinks Lev is beautiful.

Teshiro Tamahiko: Gay. Yeah no it's just mostly vibes here. He just gives me the vibe that he could only like other men. Thinks Shibayama is very cute. Had a small crush on Kenma during the first few months of his first year.

Haiba Lev: Pansexual. In all honesty, I'm sure he cares little about anything outside of volleyball. But Lev is very comfortable with his sexuality thanks to his sister. Girls are nice and boys are nice too but he ain't looking for a relationship right now.

Shibayama Yuuki: Pansexual. He's very confused and nervous because everyone is very very pretty and handsome. He definitely has a crush on Inuoka.

Sawamura Daichi: Bisexual with the slightest female preference. Obviously he somewhat likes girls already in canon (The Kiyoko hand holding scene anyone???) And he just seems like the kind of man who could fall in love with another man if he found the right one. (cough*KUROO*cough). I could also see him being a straight but supportive ally as well.

Sugawara Koushi: Pansexual. He just gives off the vibe of not caring at all about the gender of his partner. He just wants to give love and receive just as much love right back.

Azumane Asahi: Pansexual. I am honestly not quite sure why I headcanon him as such, it just feels RIGHT for some reason.

Nishinoya Yuu: Pansexual. Similarly to Sugawara, I feel like Nishinoya cares little about the gender of his partner, my man just trying to be in a relationship without blowing a fuse from embarrassment every five seconds.

Tanaka Ryuunosuke: Bisexual with a heavy female preference. Obviously Tanaka likes girls, crush and eventual relationship with Kiyoko notwithstanding, he'll take any girl that gives him the time of day. But Tanaka/Noya and Ennoshita/Tanaka have my heart in a headlock so yeah self explanatory.

Ennoshita Chikara: Bisexual with no preference. He's definitely had crushes on girls, hell he's had a tiny puppy crush on Kiyoko at one point. But then he sees Kinoshita Hisashi for the first time and goes "huh so this is what going to heaven feels like–"

Kinoshita Hisashi: Gay. Look my Kinoshita Hisashi profile picture in the eyes and tell me you think he would like anything but men. Narita unintentionally has his heart in a death grip.

Narita Kazuhito: Bisexual with a slight male preference. I feel like Narita has had crushes on and even dated girls when he was younger. Then he met Ennoshita and Kinoshita in his first year and his brain took a swan dive into LGBT territory. He's had a small crush on Ennoshita that lasted like a week, then he saw Kinoshita laughing without restraint for the first time, and he hasn't had another crush since.

Kageyama Tobio: Bisexual with no preference. Contrary to popular belief, I think that Kageyama has the capacity to crush on girls. Not even his "volleyball is life" brain can deny Kiyoko's beauty. But his relationship with Hinata is where the capacity to love boys come from.

Hinata Shoyo: Pansexual. Loves anyone and anything that gives him the time of day. His heart is very big.

Tsukishima Kei: Aromantic Asexual. I just don't see him liking anyone at all. He just wants to survive high school and play volleyball that's literally it. The only person on the team who is immune to Kiyoko's beauty.

Yamaguchi Tadashi: Pansexual. Similarly to Hinata, I see him as having a lot of love to give.

Shimizu Kiyoko: Straight Asexual. Eheh. I'm definitely getting canceled for this... But I just don't see her as being interested in girls at all. Her and Tanaka have a special place in my heart. As for the asexual part, purely vibes.
