the lick of her lips, the kiss… leah really was smarter than this, but her intense need for alicia really had a way of clouding her judgement. in the throws of it all, she allowed herself to believe they could just have this perfect night. nothing would go wrong. she should have listened to ali's protests. instead, she listened to her moans.

once the lights were on, eyes locked with her own sister's, leah froze. rather than try to explain or even have an appropriate reaction, she did what she always had whenever she got in trouble, she downplayed; acting as if what lili had just walked in on was no big deal at all. "it kinda is your fault," she mumbled, turning back to alicia, looking at her with possibly the most apologetic eyes she'd ever had in her life. she wanted to kiss her, tell her she was sorry and that everything would be okay, but it probably wasn't the best time for that with lili in the room. one step at a time. finally prying herself away from alicia's body she did her best to help the actress cover up, not so worried about her own body. wasn't the first time she'd been walked in on and probably wouldn't be the last. standing up from their makeshift bed, she listened to lili's explanation while walking to the couch without any sense of urgency, and put on the oversized christmas sweater she'd been so impatient to remove earlier. "that was actually really sweet of you, lili." leah went back over and sat next to ali, taking her hand and giving it a squeeze, trying to gauge what was going through her mind. "i— no, you don't have to go. we should probably talk, right?" she glanced back and forth between the two most important women in her life, eyes settling on her sister. "but then again, if you wanted to wait in the other room for like ten, fifteen, maybe twenty minutes…"

the glow of the fire illuminating alicia's body accentuated every perfect curve. those curves, of course, were traced with a trail of tender kisses that would never end if leah had her way. the rest of her life would be spent by that fire, on that bed of blankets she'd put together for the two of them in anticipation of this evening. this was all she ever wanted, and by some christmas miracle she was getting it. she slowly crawled back up between her thighs, the taste of her still on leah's lips, only willing to tease her for now — she wanted this to last. pressing kisses all the way up her torso to her jaw, leah flinched at the sound of the doorbell. "just carolers," she breathed against her neck, hoping to reassure the both of them and brush off the noise, instead reaching for the toy beside them once more. she slipped it down between their bodies, smirking as she stared into alicia's eyes. then the lights came on. "the hell ?? " she muttered, head quickly whipping over to the room's only entrance, a familiar face staring back at her. looking back at alicia, leah did her best to block out her body with her own, but the sight of that probably only made things worse. "jesus lili, is there a reason you didn't call ?? "
