Character Year (1-7): Sixth year

Blood Status:  Pure Blood

House: Gryffindor

Wand type/length: Black wand made of Holly with a phoenix feather core; 18 inches

Short Bio:  Killian Jones is a sixth year Gryffindor from Ireland. His mother and older brother are deceased, and his father is in Azkaban for murder and conspiring with death eaters. Killian would have shared the same fate as the rest of his family if he hadn't feigned loyalty at the last minute-- he turned his father in, but a darkness has plagued his soul since. Though the sorting hat placed him in Gryffindor, it very nearly chose Slytherin-- a sign of how truly broken he'd become. He found something to live for in Quidditch, playing as Gryfindor's seeker. He aspires to be a professional quidditch player when he graduates, but the coming war may change all that. Killian's affinity for Defense Against the Dark Arts will be a great ally, but to which side?

ETC: Killian's patronus is a grey wolf. He often slacks off on his school work, but he's really rather intelligent. He likes to read in his spare time, though usually when no one is paying attention. He's a serial flirt, but he hasn't had but one actual relationship. She was killed when a group of death eaters attacked the muggle town she lived in-- he hasn't tried for a relationship since. Killian is mainly out for himself. He lives at an orphanage when school isn't in session. No one has looked out for him most of his life-- whatever options put him on top are usually the ones he goes with.

Character Name: Benjamin Skovgaard

Character Year (1-7): Professor of Care of Magical Creatures

Character Age: 31

Blood Status: Half-blood

House: Hufflepuff

Wand type/length: Cedar with unicorn hair core. 13 ½ inches.

Short Bio: Ben was raised fairly sheltered, away from society and it’s influences. His parents owned a small piece of land, hours away from any major city, coming from a long line of werewolves. It had been in the family for many years, his great grandparents buying it to keep themselves safe. Ben managed to escape that fate, his mother thinking better than passing it onto her only son. It made for an interesting childhood and a great tolerance for other beings in the magical world. His sorting into Hufflepuff came as no surprise to anyone who knew the young boy, not with his upbringing and the fierce sense of loyalty that he carried. The information about his family was kept as quiet as possible while at school, though eventually during his fifth year, it was leaked. His housemates, for the most part stuck by him, though many friends in other houses decided that any sort of relationship with the teenager was too risky after that.

Upon graduation, Ben continued to show great interest in the other creatures that occupied the world. Carrying nothing but a beat up notebook and the clothes on his back, he took off to wherever his feet carried him, eager to learn as much as he could while gaining hands on experience. Whoever was willing to give him time, he would sit and learn from.

It came as a surprise when an owl found him while he was traveling through Siberia, Headmaster McGonagall offering him the position of Professor of Care of Magical Creatures. One who was always willing to share and teach tolerance, he took her up on the offer almost immediately.

ETC: While he himself is not a werewolf, he comes from a long line of them dating back several generations. This can make those who know quite weary of befriending him as he is still close with his family.

Character Name:  Rumplestiltskin Gold

Character Year:  Potions Professor

Blood Status:  Pureblood

House: Slytherin

Wand type/length:  Ebony with essence of dragon scale, 15 inches

Short Bio:  His mother died when he was young and his father abandoned him to become a Death Eater when he was a boy, leaving Rumple to be raised by a neighbor for the rest of his childhood.  During his time as a student at Hogwarts, he was very skilled at both Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions.  He never had very many friends during his time at school, or after he graduated.  Rumple considered joining the Death Eaters, but did not because he did not want to be like his father.  Instead, a few years after his graduation, he decided to return to Hogwarts as a teacher, and took up the potions position.

Wand type/length: Willow, 10.25", Veela hair 

Short Bio:  It had been 16 years since he had set foot inside the castle and now here he was as a teacher.  Crispin remembered Professor Burbage’s classes fondly and it felt strange to be occupying her old position.  When Headmistress McGonagall and offered the position he was dumbfounded.  Sure he was raised by Muggles and returned to the Muggle world after finishing at Hogwarts, but to be offered the Muggle Studies position was a dream he had thought was long since passed.   He had fond memories of his time at Hogwarts, most of it spent in the library or Ravenclaw Common Room

Harry Potter AU Application

Character Name: Anne-Marie Walters

Character Year: 5th

Blood Status: ??

House: Hufflepuff

Wand Type/Length: 12 1/4 inches, Willow with Phoenix Feather Core, Quite Flexible

Short Bio: Anne-Marie was orphaned at a young age - didn't know how or why, but it was so. Passed around from orphanage to orphanage, no one quite wanted her, as she was always sick, and - more prominently, they thought she was quite odd. Talking directly to animals, saying things would happen before they did - and then coming true. You'd think that someone with no one wanting them would become bitter and reclusive, but Anne-Marie was quite the opposite. She was very friendly to everyone she met, and that was how she crossed paths with Charlie. He was kind enough to take the sick orphan in, and took a special interest in her oddities. He'd try to get her to expand on them,  He never discouraged her from these things, just telling her to keep it on the down-low in public. 

Now, it wasn't too surprising to Charlie when Anne-Marie got her letter - he was a wizard, himself, and could tell that Anne-Marie was a witch - one with a promising potential, as well. The girl went off to Hogwarts, and was sorted into Hufflepuff - kindest house, they said, and this lifted her spirits entirely. The girl took a delving interest into Care of Magical Creatures and Divination, not much for the Dark Arts, however. Of course, the talkative girl has a wide room for potential, but what for, she isn't sure yet.

ETC: While good and kind, Anne-Marie is also loyal and naive. Her loyalties lie with Charlie, and do what he thinks is best. As to this new found rebellion, the girl doesn't take mind to it, and remains neutral.

Almost 25 years after the end of the first Wizarding War, the Wizarding World is undergoing a huge change.  Rebellion is taking over, fueled by vengeful Death Eaters and the Pureblood lines they come from.  Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is becoming a dangerous place as the stories of war that have been passed down for years are once again becoming a harsh and terrifying reality.

You have an opportunity to take your stand.  Will you side with the Death Eaters, who’ve long been denied the freedom they feel they deserve?  Or will you side with the Muggle-borns and halfbloods, who have done little to stomp out the oncoming rebellion?  Only one way to find out: pick up your wand and prepare for the fight.

This is Harry Potter-based OUAT Indie AU Group Verse, but any fandom is welcome to join!  The more, the merrier!

You might want to fix the links in your promo posts. It's not necessary, but it's kind of a pain and when you want to keep people's interest it's probably best to make it so they're not going hunting for your application and plot, you know?

THIS HAS TAKEN FOREVER FOR ME TO DO BUT WHAT THE HEY

Character Name: Julianna Rider. 

Character Year (1-7): Graduated when she was 17.

Character Age: 24.

Blood Status: Muggle Born. 

House: When in school, she was in Gryffindor.

Position: D.A.D.A Professor.

Wand type/length: Willow, Pegasus feather, fourteen and a quarter inches. Surprisingly light and springy.

Short Bio: Her parents (both Muggles) died when she was around five years old in a fire set by a group of drunk ex-DeathEaters that had come up with the idea to relive their glory days in a small Muggle Town on the coast of Ireland. The young girl was sent to live with her Fathers' brother, Bayard, an Auror who lived alone in London. Bayard took his niece in as though she were his own daughter straight away, hiding the fact that he was a Wizard from her. It was only when she 'accidentally' created a mini rainstorm in the middle of the Living room that he took into serious consideration the fact that she might have inherited his Wizarding bloodline. Bayard's cautious suspicions came true when her Hogwarts letter came.  Once at Hogwarts, Julia's sorting almost came out in Ravenclaw ("Brilliant Mind...hmm, yes, you get that from your Mother, don't you?"). The Sorting Hat quickly decided on a different house, though ("You're a fighter, oooh, I can see that. Wicked-sharp instincts. Very just, Very loyal too...Better be...Gryffindor!). She excelled rather grandly in Defense Against the Dark Art, testing well above her training level in her O.W.L's and N.E.W.T's. The Ministry accepted her into their Auror program immediately after Graduation. In Training, she worked even harder than she had at school. The five years it took for her to become an Auror were some of the most grueling of her life. The work payed off with the results she got and the lives she saved, though. During those years she met her fiance, Flynn, a fellow Auror. The two hit it off almost immediately. By the time she was in her fifth year they were engaged to be married. However, fate decided to play an underhand: A month before their wedding was supposed to happen, the two were assigned to scout out a possible ring of Men who were responsible for the murder of a Wizarding Family. The Aurors were caught by the Guard. When one of them tried to kill Julia when she was dueling another, Flynn took the Killing Curse for her. Although Julia was able to arrest all the men there and get them on trial, she was given Vacation with Honorable Titles given. The Daily Prophet and Ministry praised her for the sacrifice that had been made for their safety. A year later, the young and grieving woman received a visit from the Headmaster of Hogwarts regarding an Open position for the role of Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

ETC: I swear I tried to make the bio short I sWEAR. Also, although Julia looks very young (only about twenty or so), she has the mental age of a much older person due to her time as an Auror. It doesn't mean she's unkind. It just means that her tolerance for the crap she fought against is low.

BECAUSE LET'S THROW ANOTHER CHARACTER IN HERE TOO

Character Name: Dorian Gray

Character Year (1-7): 7

Blood Status: Half-Blood

House: Slytherin

Wand type/length: Elm, dragon heartstring, fourteen and a half inches, brittle.

Short Bio: Raised by a wealthy aunt after both his parent died when he was young, Dorian started out as a good kid. He was loved by most who met him and was generally thought to be an incredibly promising young man. The Sorting Hat saw something similar in him  and placed him in Slytherin, which is where he met an older student named Harry Wotton. Wotton, a pure blood, took him under his wing and began grooming him to be his replacement as the head of a much-envied clique of students. Soon that sweet boy was changing into someone far more morally ambiguous....and as he heads into his final year of Hogwarts, his interest has been piqued by a  Dark spell that preserves youth.

Wand type/length: Walnut wood, 11 1/2 inches, unicorn hair, supple

Short Bio: Aurora grew up with stories of Hogwarts and people of the wizarding world in lieu of fairy tales and myths. Her mother had eagerly pushed her to be comfortable in the muggle world--her father's world--but had also wanted her to gain extensive knowledge about the wizarding world, as well. Having her letter come was a source of excitement and celebration in her household, though with the unease in the wizarding world, her parents were hesitant to actually send their daughter. Still, finally deciding it would be better to know her way around that world and how to defend herself and her friends, she crossed the very same platform and joined the hundreds of others to attend the school. 

Aurora has always known she was meant to do something extraordinary--perhaps she isn't an extraordinary person, or meant to be remembered, but she has always wanted to be part of something bigger...something better. Life in this world is an adventure to her, and though she's fairly reserved and can be quiet, she's a fighter. Whatever the cause, she stands behind it and believes in it entirely. Hogwarts is her home, these people are her family.

GDI LYNDS WHY AM I JOINING ANOTHER AU WHY GOD WHY

Character Name: Graham Humbert

Character Year (1-7): Year Six

Blood Status: Unknown

House: Gryffindor

Wand type/length: Fir, dragon heartstring, twelve and a half inches, supple.

Short Bio: Raised in an Irish orphanage, Graham discovered his magical abilities at the age of nine. One night, while attempting to sneak out of the home, he accidentally put one of the matrons to sleep on the stairs as he tried to avoid her spotting him. Luckily for him, she was a Squib who, when she awoke, explained to him that no, he wasn't a freak as well as an orphan and that he would be sent to a special school as soon as he turned eleven. Until then, it was just a matter of time and learning how to keep his abilities hidden from the other children.

Harry Potter AU

     Hello there!! Before I move on with the information about my character, I would just like to say that this AU is absolutely AMAZING. It combines two of my favorite fandoms... Ever... Anyway, here's my information!! Name: Gwendolyn "Gwen" Faye

Character Year: Five

Blood Status: Half Blood

House: Ravenclaw

Wand type/length: Rosewood, dragon heart string, 11 & 1/2 inches in length.

Short Bio: While Gwen is a half blood, her mother died when she was very young, leaving her in the hands of her muggle father. Because of this, Gwen grew up in a non-magical home. She always knew that she was a little different than everyone else, and because of this, she found herself receeding more and more into her books. Despite this, Gwen never let the other children at school bring her down. She was her own person, and she would never let someone else take that away from her.      When Gwen received her letter from Hogwarts at eleven years old, she finally found a place where she fit in. After being placed in Ravenclaw, Gwen discovered a group of friends that loved to read just as much as she did, and Gwen prospered in her classes; she especially had an affinity for Charms, Transfiguration, and the Care of Magical Creatures. The only thing that haunts Gwen to this day is her white-blonde hair that is forever viewed as the trait of the Malfoys, a family that stood by Voldemort until his demise.

ETC: If it is alright with all of you, I would love for Gwen to be an animagus. I know that normally only powerful witches can develop this skill, but Gwen isn't one to back down from things. I think she has the potential to learn how to do this by her current age of fifteen. If this is okay with you all, then this would be her "special" skill, and she would transform into a cat at will. She definitely has the personality of a cat, that's for sure... I appreciate you taking the time to read through this, and thank you for your consideration! Character Name: Mike Queen

Character Year (1-7): 6

Blood Status: Pureblood

House: Slytherin

Wand type/length:  English Oak, Unicorn Core, 13 1/4 inches, Slightly Springy.

Short Bio: Mike was raised in a Wizarding family, where both of his parents are pureblood and both are Death Eaters.  It was no surprise, then, when strange things started happening around Mike.  His parents rejoiced in it.  Then, when he got his letter from Hogwarts, his parents were thrilled.  They took him to Diagon Alley and bought him the best robes, books, and equipment money could buy with his father's money from working at the Ministry.  As a pet, he got a gray and black tabby cat and named him Chess. 

Upon entering Hogwarts, Mike was sorted into Slytherin.  Although he was relieved (his whole family had been Slytherin, he felt as though he was more suited for Ravenclaw.  One typical Slytherin/Death Eater thing that Mike doesn't take part in is make a huge deal of blood status.  His parents, however criticize anyone other than Pureblood that he finds friendship with.  His fate as to where his allegiance will stand as war approaches has yet to be decided.

ETC: Mike has the outline of the Dark Mark on the inside of his left forearm, and his parents expect him to get it filled in when he graduates (or before the beginning of the war) and join them.  Mike, however, does whatever he can to hide the crude symbol.  He is ashamed and almost embarrassed by it.

Dorothy Gale - HPOUAT

Character Name: Dorothy Gale

Character Year: 6

Blood Status: Half-Blood

House: Hufflepuff

Wand type/length: Cedar with a Unicorn Core, 10 inches, Surprisingly Swishy

Short Bio: Dorothy Gale was raised on a small farm under the care of her Aunt and Uncle. She was a hard worker, even at a young age, and had the greatest imagination. She could think up whole worlds, if you'd let her, but usually became interrupted almost immediately. Her Aunt and Uncle didn't necessarily approve of this, so she tried to keep it on the down low around them.

There were of course some small, strange happenings every once in awhile. Dorothy never thought much of it, but her Aunt and Uncle did. Shortly before her eleventh birthday, they tried to explain to the girl that she wasn't quite normal. Magical, even. They told her that her parents, both a witch and wizard, respectively, were killed by power-hungry wizards called Death Eaters. Oh, they hoped she hadn't inherited these magical abilities from her parents, but their wishes seemed to be ignored. Dorothy had trouble believing them, thinking that they were just making fun of her stories - they'd never given her an explanation for her parents' death, or explained why people seemed to think she was so odd. However, her outlook on this changed immediately when she got her first letter from Hogwarts.

At Hogwarts, she found that it was much easier to fit in, as even if she was a bit different by wizarding standards, people accepted her fairly well. Dorothy got along with most anyone, but tends to stay away from the Slytherin house, as she quickly learned that they had harbored most Death Eaters, and presumably ones that had killed her parents.

ETC: Even when she wasn't proclaimed a witch, people thought she had to be odd, at best. These worlds she'd think up, well, at times, she wouldn't remember that they weren't real. She'd start to talk as if she'd been there before, and wouldn't understand when people told her that it wasn't real. Now that she's older, however, Dorothy's been able to calm down, not telling stories much except for an occasional episode.
