Shimizu Has Been Accepted!
Please have your blog up and ready by May 15th, and message us once it’s done.
Character Application Character Name: Shimizu Kiyoko Background: In middle school, Kiyoko was still living her her parents. She attended a school in Tokyo, then moved to Miyagi the summer before entering high school. However, in middle school, she was on the track and field team. She specialized in the sprints, long jumps, as well as hurdles. However, she suffered a meniscus tear in her left knee do to constant pressure throughout track meets, and she underwent surgery before entering high school. (She decided it would be best not to join any sporting teams after this, due to the fear of a similar incident taking place again.) After middle school, and her surgery, Kiyoko moved to live with her grandparents. Due to the fact her parents were busy, for the most part, with one owning a business and the other constantly over seas for business trips, she decided it would be best that she live with them instead of by herself. Personality: She tends to keep to herself, for the most part. However, for a few people, they are able to see how goofy she can actually be. While it takes awhile for her to actually find the courage to open up around people, it will appear eventually. Kiyoko is also very caring and hospitable. While yes, her outershell may make her appear to be cold and ruthless, she’d never turn down a person in need. High School/ Career Plans: Currently, she’s taking quite a few medical classes. Her goal is to become a nurse, and her training so far has proven to be helpful for certain players on the team. (As well as just incidents that seem to happen surrounding a few injury prone people.) Roleplay Sample of the Character You’re Reserving:
An injury was predictable, at least for him. Seated before her was the redheaded first year, two bloodied knees and a bloody nose. He was quieter, now, probably embarrssed for a handful of reasons. But Kiyoko didn’t take his change of mood too seriously, and she was quick to retrieve the first aid kit before popping it open. Individually wrapped bandages, gauze, aclohol wipes, and plenty of other suplies laid organized in the box. “You really should be more careful, Hinata-kun.” A roll of toilet paper caught her eye, which she brought up and out of the plastic container, handing it to the first year with her eyes still glued to her suplies. “Use this to wipe your nose, after that, I’ll clean your scapes before you go back out to run.” He seemed to understand, because he was quick to follow her orders. As he did so, the raven was busy doing other things. In between her thumb, pointer, and middle finger was a cotton ball soaked in hydrogen peroxide. Kiyoko then dabbed this on the wound, cleaning the stained area while he focused on his nose. And before the younger even had a chance to complain; she was done. A square shapped bandage stuck to each knee, a new shirt was then handed to him as he admired her handiwork. “Change when you get the chance, please.” She’d have to put in a little elbow grease to get that blood stain out, later.

Sugawara Has Been Accepted!
Your application went through, all that’s left is creating the blog. Make sure to have it up and running by April 21st, and message us once it’s complete!
Character Application
Character Name: Sugawara Koushi
Background:
Suga’s personality is: gentle, a calming presence, encouraging, helpful, determined, strategic, observant, easy to get along with, likeable, supportive
Suga is ‘the pillar of support’ for the team, the glue that keeps it together. He strengthens the connections the team members have with Daichi, as the captain can sometimes seem intimidating and unapproachable. Additionally, Daichi is the strong ‘front’ leader with Suga quietly advising him on what to do or how to handle their members. He is slightly feared within his own team because he is 'the only one who can tell Daichi what to do’ and Daichi is considered a 'scary’ captain. This is because even though Suga appears gentle, he somehow seems like 'a steel-blade hidden in silk’, that is, he can and will stand up and fight for the people and causes he believes in unwaveringly. He is also in charge of calming down team members (like Kageyama’s outbursts of anger), something he learned from interacting with his cousins
Suga encourages his team all the time, to improve themselves, during matches (even when he’s not playing) and when others are down and need to be cheered up. He likes to help people better themselves, like when he offers to practise volleyball with Hinata when Kageyama refused to play with him. Suga is also good at recognising when his help is wanted, e.g. when Asahi left the team. He realised that Asahi was disappointed in himself and saw himself as a failure, but also that Asahi was too hurt to want to be helped. It was only after Nishinoya was allowed to come back but refused to until Asahi joined as well, that Suga approached Asahi with the request to come back - because he knows that both Nishinoya and Asahi are invaluable as capable members and for the team spirit
Even though he concedes his regular setter position to Kageyama, Suga is still determined to play volleyball and not give up his position on the team permanently. He is shown to be a quick thinker and strategic during matches, e.g. when he comes up with signs to signal a certain kind of play combination on the fly. His observational skills are what enables Suga to notice things like Tanaka behaving different from usual (when Tanaka asks for the gym key) and drawing the right conclusion from what he’s seen (secret morning practice).
Suga makes friends easily but only has very few truly close friends. He doesn’t like to be the centre of attention, preferring to be ‘behind the scenes’. People seem to be drawn to him for advice and Suga readily gives it, as well as lending an ear to listen to someone’s problems. Suga is also known as the unofficial ‘team mother’. This is partly because of his easy going, calm nature and partly because of his supportiveness which shows in how he always has the best interests of the team in mind and will do anything to make it the best team it can be
Suga’s background
Suga is an only child and lives with his parents. Both of his parents work fulltime jobs, his mother as a lawyer and his father as a businessman who, more often than not, is away on business trips. Because of this, the Sugawaras are a moderately wealthy family. Even though his parents are constantly busy, they love him very much and have a good relationship with him and each other. Because his parents work so much, Suga was often looked after by his aunt. She has two children, a daughter who is older than Suga and a son younger than him. His older cousin often acts younger than her age and gets into fights with her brother constantly; Suga acts as the mediator between the two and even occasionally falls into the ‘big brother’ role, defending them from each other but also pointing out what they did wrong. All three have more of a sibling relationship to each other. Since starting high school he spends less time at his aunt’s and more at one of his friends’ houses (usually Daichi and Asahi since they live the closest to Suga). Suga still visits his aunt frequently; he has a good relationship with her and is a bit of a communicator between his parents and her, since his parents are gone a lot. Unlike his parents, his aunt is much stricter on her children than Suga’s parents are on him, since her children are more prone to be troublemakers than Suga (as far as she knows). Growing up with his cousins, they instilled some of their own mischievous spirit into Suga; he can just hide it better.
When Suga isn’t playing volleyball or at school, he likes to spend time with Daichi (from fun stuff to studying), help out at the local animal shelter or visit his aunt and cousins. Suga also helps tutor his own classmates as well as 2nd or 1st years. He has always been an avid reader but with his life getting busier, he barely finds the time to do so anymore. To wind down, Suga likes to draw or go running.
Sample:
The ball connects with a terrifying thump, its sound echoing in Suga’s head. It can’t have been more than just a second or two until Aoba Jousai erupts into cheers but to him everything is in slow motion. The way the ball rebounds off the gym floor, the way Kageyama, Tanaka and Nishinoya are frozen on the ground, still in their defensive poses. Sounds are dull as Suga processes what just happened. They lost.
It’s a close call, them going head-to-head with the team known for winning, but Suga hasn’t been able to help the growing hope of their victory and advancement in the tournament. To feel that glowing hope be destroyed by a single mistake, just a fraction of a second too late of a reaction, leaves a numb feeling in its place. We lost.
Noises come rushing back in real time, the dull roar replaced by loud cheers from the Aoba Jousai side, silence from Karasuno and a crashing wave of disappointment and sadness washing away the numbness in Suga’s stomach. He looks up from the where the ball rebounded to his teammates. They all wear identical faces of defeat, disappointment and anger, slumped shoulders and the occasional aggressive face wipe. Suga knows they’re tears but he doesn’t comment; their pride has been hurt enough for today. Knowing the team needs Daichi and him to be strong, he goes over to the three players still lying on the floor. He helps them up, clapping them on the shoulder with a smile and “You did your best today. I’m proud of you.” Suga knows they might not be the words they want to hear, but hopes they help soothe the pain a little. Daichi is already up and gathering everyone else together; Nishinoya and Tanaka are trudging over there with hanging heads, but Kageyama is still motionless, looking toward the ground with empty eyes. Suga leaves his hand on the taller setter’s shoulder.
“I know you wanted to win. We all did. But there’s nothing we can do now.” Suga says quietly. The only indication that he gets of having been heard is the younger’s fists clenching by his side. He continues, “You did your best, and believe me, you’ve improved a lot. That counts for something, doesn’t it?”
Suga hears something like “but that’s still not good enough” from Kageyama who still isn’t looking up. The 3rd year looks in the direction of the rest of Karasuno who have gathered around Daichi and are now looking toward the two of them. Suga sighs.
“I know. None of us are, yet.” That gets Kageyama’s attention. Suga doesn’t often talk negatively about the team. “But that gives us something to strive for. Defeat only makes us stronger and more willing to work even harder.” The 3rd year smiles and pushes him toward the rest of their team. Suga catches Daichi’s look and nods at him. The Karasuno team goes through the post-game motions, but Suga keeps it together until it’s all over, until they’ve had their post-match meeting, until he gets home to an empty house. There, he comes as far as the kitchen before he breaks down and cries. Later, when he’s pulled himself together and his eyes burn, he goes up to his room and checks his phone. The black screen lights up and show the picture set as the background: it’s the Karasuno team during their Golden Week training camp. It’s not perfect, barely anyone is actually looking at the camera and Kageyama is red and foaming at the mouth, held back by Tanaka and Noya who are shouting at him, all that can be seen of Hinata is a shock of orange hair and an eye, Asahi is looking decidedly terrified of the squabbling and Daichi looks ready to pop a vein. Everyone is trying to squeeze into a single frame which is difficult enough with so many people, even without all the moving around. It’s not perfect, but it’s the only photo Suga could get of all of them without being blurry and all in all it captures everyone’s personality well. It’s not perfect – but it’s Karasuno’s team, the Crows, it’s Suga’s team. The 3rd year setter smiles the first genuine smile since their crushing defeat earlier. He knows; the team will get over it, make use of their grief and grow. They are going to win next time and every game that follows.

Terushima Has Been Accepted
What is the kids say these days? Booyah!
Either way, great job! Please have your blog ready and message us once it’s done by April 10th.
Character Application
Character Name
Terushima Yuuji
Background
Growing up to be the only child in the family, Terushima was spoiled by his mother and father, they would always tell him that they’ll be supportive of his decisions and they try their best to make Terushima happy. Terushima’s father is a businessman and his mother is a housewife. His parents are constantly worried about Terushima’s school life, since volleyball does interfere with school work and being the team captain as a second year could give Terushima stress.
Personality
Loud;
Terushima is loud, teachers, students and some of his friends have been commenting about his obnoxious loud voice and tells him to “quiet down a bit”  but he tends to ignore what others say about him and continues to be himself.
Reckless;
Being reckless has its peaks and valleys, one thing is that Terushima takes risks without worrying about what would happen next. Although sometimes if things don’t go as he had hoped it had gone he will become upset at himself for a couple of hours.
Rude;
Terushima does not see himself as being rude, when people (especially Hana) tell him that he’s being rude to others, the second year doesn’t quite get why he’s being rude to someone. Although if one pesters Terushima to apologize for being rude he will apologize.
Positive;
Despite being loud and reckless most of the times, Terushima does try to see everything in a positive way, whether if he got a bad test score, or the volleyball team loses a match. Terushima tries to always be supportive and positive (just like his parents) on the outside, but deep down inside Terushima tends to blame himself.
Playful;
Growing up as the only child, Terushima always wanted to have fun at home or while hanging out with his friends, thus resulting in Terushima being a bit too playful and accidentally hurting people (he would never hurt anyone on purpose!)
Roleplay Sample
Terushima lets out a sigh, being held back after school was not fun at all. Especially when the teacher tells you to make up the class work that you had miss while being fast asleep in class. The blond had tried his best to tell the teacher that he had to go the volleyball practice but the teacher told him that it was his own fault for falling asleep in class.
“Fuck..” the male mumbles under his breath as he taps his pencil on the desk, earning a glare from the teacher at the front of the classroom. A piece of paper with math equations was in front of him. Instead of making Terushima clean the classroom or something similar to that, the teacher considered a math worksheet to be his punishment.
Thirty minutes later, the blond finishes up the math worksheet and puts it on the teacher’s desk, “It’s done!! See ya tomorrow!” Terushima speaks loudly as he was out of the classroom letting out a cry of joy, and earning himself stares from other students that were at school. As he gets closer to the gym, Terushima starts to pick up his pace from a walk to a run.
Slamming the gym door open, Terushima quickly closed the door behind him and went to strech. The blond made a mental note to himself that next time if he wanted to fall asleep, it should be during lunch and not during math class.

Iwaizumi Has Been Accepted!
You led this application straight to victory! Now, be sure to have your blog up and running by March 31st, and message us once you do!
Character Name: Iwaizumi Hajime
Background:
Most people who don’t know Iwaizumi very well find it hard to judge his character without factoring Oikawa in, and not without reason. Ever since he was little, Iwaizumi found himself joined by the hip to his best friend, pretty-boy extraordinaire Oikawa Tooru. Partially because of him knowing Oikawa for so long and partially because of his nature, Iwaizumi takes care of Oikawa in his own way. He looks after him a lot and with a special fondness that others notice often. He often turns violent when cleaning up after Oikawa’s messes, but at the end of the day he’ll make sure that Oikawa is well, whether consciously or subconsciously.
Aside from Oikawa, Iwaizumi is a caring, dependable guy on his own. Many people who play with him or have played with him have harbored some respect for him due to his natural leadership skills and his tendency to look after others. He is willful and stubborn, often acting as the lifeline for when morale on the team stoops low. Iwaizumi, while not too close to many others, cares deeply for many people and is earnest in showing his compassion, whether it be to a teammates or a rival. He comes off as intimidating initially but is  a congenial guy. He is determined and driven and while he likes supporting others, he values independence and  prefers to take care of his own issues. While he finds it easy to pat others on the back in times of low self-esteem, Iwaizumi takes his own shortcomings to heart and often blames himself for many things (especially with the recent loss to Karasuno.) Despite this and his violent streak with Oikawa, he is a fairly laid-back guy.
In his early adolescence, besides his physical abilities and his immense passion for volleyball, Iwaizumi considered himself as a fairly average guy. He got decent grades and he looked alright. He didn’t really put himself out there for any leadership positions or things of that ilk, but if he was volunteered, he didn’t really mind. He was generally well-liked and could hold conversations, but he didn’t go out of his way to make plans with others outside of school. At least, that’s how he saw himself. But then again, his main comparison was Oikawa Tooru.
Iwaizumi cared deeply for Oikawa, but as they grew older, he couldn’t help but notice the gap between them. He felt that Oikawa often left him behind for better and greater things. He thought about this for a short while, but in the end, he decided that he didn’t care. He knew Oikawa and he knew he liked attention and he knew in the end he also liked Iwaizumi, so there wasn’t a problem. He didn’t mind letting Oikawa take the spotlight and he didn’t mind staying with Oikawa. No matter what Oikawa did, he’d follow him. He’d take care of him. After all, that’s what friends are for.
A few years later, he’s nailing Oikawa in the head with a volleyball wondering why he would ever say such a thing.
(I make this sound very Oikawa-centric, but I actually do really like exploring the relationships of Iwaizumi and others. I imagine he’d be very friendly with others and loves spending time with just about anyone; he’s just not awfully close with anyone else since he has his hands full with Oikawa. I also like to play around with his personal passion for volleyball and drive to win.)
Roleplay Sample:
Iwaizumi couldn’t tell if he was just tired or if he was simply irritated. It took another squeal from the small cluster of girls surrounding Oikawa to remind him that it was both.
He really didn’t have time for this shit. For the past week, he had been staying up until four to complete the assignment that would have ideally been worked on for about a month. Yes, he should have started earlier, but his attention was on volleyball for the past few months in light of the upcoming tournament. It was only thanks to his obdurate work habits that he was able to finish in the amount of time that he did. Today’s first period marked the glorious end of those late night sessions when he turned in his book report. That fact alone provided Iwaizumi some joy throughout the day, but it all vanished once his coffee rush ended and Oikawa’s fangirls ran up. It wasn’t like he and Oikawa had to go anywhere in particular, but Iwaizumi was a force to be reckoned with at this point.
“Oikawa,” oops, Iwaizumi found his fist suddenly burrowed into the small of Oikawa’s back, “if you don’t get a move on it, this is going up your ass next.”
The gaggle of girls disappeared almost as quickly as Oikawa let out a half-hearted yelp and trotted around back to Iwaizumi’s side. “Man, Iwa-chan,” Oikawa laughed, “we don’t have to be anywhere. Were you just jealous? Aw!”
Iwaizumi squinted. It’s almost like he wants me to punch him.
