My favorite part of Carmelo is the fact he didn’t like KNOW he’s hurting Rudolph, like ofc he’s aware that he is bullying this guy but he isn’t understanding that HE is BULLYING this GUY. Nobody around him makes him think about his actions, so he just DOESNT, he doesn’t understand the gravity of what he is doing because nobody MAKES him. And when he is forced to face it (ahem Tobias yelling at him, and Rudy’s scars, and that one Dino scene) he actually feels bad.

He doesn’t WANT to make Rudolph feel like way, he just is pretty impulse driven and does NOT look back unless forced to, very typical teenage boy behavior if I do say so myself. He isn’t evil or super stupid, just ignorant

Also when paired up with Tobias in the field trip arc, he is forced to think once again (his greatest enemy is thinking) because Tobias is actively breaking down. He HAS to be the voice of reason, so he is! A great show of how he isn’t completely stupid, just very ignorant. Carmelo is literally the most teenage teenager in that comic bro💔

its so interesting how dynamic carmelo's character is. hes the horrible evil no good big bad bully (in all seriousness actually awful at first) but then he turns around and becomes much more sensitive to others' feelings, then even goes so far to be the VOICE OF REASON during the field trip when hes needed the most. but also he plays a role almost like a comedic relief character without ONLY being reduced to haha funny 4 braincell boy. like yeah hes a stupid teenager (beefing with 8 year olds. extremely stupid compared to tobias and emilio but then again who isnt) but hes also shown to be very intelligent in times of crisis (THE FIELD TRIP!!!!!! HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!)

Rudolph: didn’t know her when she was alive very well but everyone said she was a very sweet girl and he believes that but they would’ve made GREAT FRIENDS and lowkey she would had a crush on him, but just like a tiny one. But they would’ve gotten along so well

Tobias: never knew him. He would’ve been so off putted by her always happy attitude, but she wouldn’t catch up on it and just try and be friends with him. She’s super affectionate with her compliments and Tobias would been sort of weirded out but really confused

Emilio: never picked up on the notebook thing, she tends to have things go over her head.. but she did try to be his friend but she never spent that much time with him, he wasn’t brothered by her presence that much and thought she was kind, very interested in her death though

Carmelo: they were friends! Wasn’t really part of his posse but they did talk, not super duper close but close enough for him to be talking to her on a daily basis. She didn’t like the bullying thing and always made that clear Carmelo would say some like “eh wtv” and they would move on, never knew abt Rudolph’s bulling tho and she would’ve hated that. Also he never understood how Emilia and Vince were together

Ooo okayyy, so basically Emory and Emilia are twin sisters and when they were born their parents had to give one of em up because they were DIRT POOR. So they gave Emory up to their friend who moved away hiding away that part of Emory’s life, Emilia had no clue about Emory’s entire existence at ALL.

Emilas parents are sweet but definitely more focused on making Emilia happy then educating her which causes her to have bad judge if character while Emory had a nice childhood too being a bit more on the shy side.

Somewhere in middle school Emory’s guardian becomes sick and dies, Emory feels true sadness for the first time in her life and is devastated, she’s given no time to grieve as she’s shoved into her actual family’s home.

Too Emory all these mfs are absolute strangers she happens to share blood with, to Emilia she just gained a sister! Emilia is unable to recognize how much pain her sister is really in and is constantly overwhelming her trying to be her friend

A part of Emory hates Emilia, but she’s mostly just jealous since Emilia only means well even if she is dismissive of Emory’s feelings. Soon for reasons that contain Vince the blond boy, Emilia dies, everyone in that house is uncomfortable looking at Emory now who they see as a more disheveled and depressing Emilia
