Abstract

On 11thMarch 2020, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declared that COVID-19 had become widespread that they formed a global pandemic. It has now been one and a half year since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected how people live, and took millions of lives (Cohut, 2021).

According to World Health Organization (n.d.), there are 213,050,725 confirmed cases and 4,448,352 in the world have been reported to WHO as of 26th August 2021.

In New Zealand, there are a total of 3159 confirmed cases recorded, which included community and managed isolation cases as of 25thAugust 2021 (Ministry of Health New Zealand, 2021).
