i've mentioned before that blair only cuts their hair after they transfer to berry high/meet autumn and here it is! this is really early on, timeline-wise. i imagine hair being very important for both of them (for different reasons, but still very significant) so autumn cuts blair's hair for them and in turn she lets them style hers in a different manner than usual. more under the cut

blair and autumn first get along for many reasons, of course, but especially because they can bond over their grief for one of their loved ones passing away very recently (and in the same manner too, depending on which version you decide as canon since pixelberry retconned autumn's mother's death. i'm still pressed about this) (<- personally, i adhere to the idea of her mother passing away from an "illness", so it's different.)

autumn's help quest is lovely and it's one of my favourite things pixelberry has ever written. i love how the mc sits down with autumn and helps her go through her mother's belongings, and i think this would be a turning point in blair and autumn's relationship. they get very close, very quickly. these are two teenagers that feel very alone after losing the person they were the closest to and they find each other right when they needed to.

oh, this is also when blair first starts experimenting with their style, which is the whole point of the makeover they're doing. autumn wanted to be a supportive friend. a beautiful canvas! i had so much fun drawing blair's chunky go-go boots. omg. i love shoes.
