OMG I LOVE THIS, they’d be doing anything and everything to coax the sound from between his little lips, completely infatuated with everything he does.

LOVE ME ALWAYS MASTERLIST | FULL MASTERLIST

“Where’s my baby?” Y/N coos, tone questioning, with her hands held over her eyes.

“There he is!” she exclaims excitedly, uncovering her face quickly, a wide smile stretching her lips while her mouth opens in faux surprise.

She’s bent over the little bassinet in the living room, Harry seated beside her as they watch their child in pure, unadulterated adoration. The little boy in front of them laughs heartily, his eyes lighting up at his mother’s antics and gleaming in an oddly familiar manner, replicating his father’s near exactly.

“He looks like you,” Y/N smiles, glancing over at her husband as she leans in closer, hooking her palms beneath Nicky’s arms and lifting him to her chest.

“Yeh think?” Harry questions, tilting his head and watching as the freshly five-month old baby scrunches his face in discomfort at being removed from the cozy, blanket-filled cot.

“I do,” Y/N emphasizes the words, still speaking enthusiastically to her child, “you look just like yer Daddy, don’t yeh?”

She scrunches her nose, repeating herself while bouncing him in place, “just like yer Daddy. S’not very fair, is it? I had to carry yeh ‘round for nine months and then yeh popped out looking just like him.”

She gestures over to Harry, shaking her head with a click of her tongue, “yer lucky yer cute, mister. Or I’d have to be mad at yeh.”

She raises him higher up, kissing at his flushed cheek, and shuffling herself around in order to sit crisscrossed, leaning her back against the sofa. Harry reaches over, placing a couch cushion over the expanse of Y/N’s lap, and she lays Nicholas down, the entire length of his body fitting within the confines of the small pillow.

She bends forward slowly, intriguing the young boy; “mmmm,” she starts, lengthening the consonant, “wah!” she finishes brightly, pressing a big kiss to the tip of Nicky’s nose…and then his forehead, and then each of his chubby cheeks before blowing a raspberry into the soft skin.

Deep belly laughs escape from between the baby’s lips, throaty giggles making their way out and illuminating his face. His little hands come up, one grabbing onto his Mum’s jaw, and the other’s fingers tangling into her hair, as if to hold her in place. Y/N looks over to Harry, grinning from ear to ear, and he matches her expression.

“Aren’t yeh just the cutest little babe?” she questions, face still held in his hands, “isn’t he, H?” she prompts.

Harry smiles, completely and absolutely content despite the minor sleep deprivation he’s been faced with over the past little while, “mhm, he really is.”

Harry thumbs over the wispy blonde curls atop Nicholas’s head, smiling down at him before turning to face Y/N, “yeh did so good love, gave me a perfect family. Best Mum anyone could ever ask for.”

He shakes his head in disbelief, kissing the crown of her head as she looks back at him, pouting, eyes glassy and lip quivering (not much to his surprise), “yeh can’t say things like that, I’m still hormonal.”

She leans up to take his lips between hers, smiling despite the lone tear running down her cheek, and Harry quickly wipes it away, gazing lovingly at the woman in front of him.

The small child begins to gurgle unhappily, features turning downward as he realizes the attention is being taken off him.

“Ooohh no! What’s wrong, my love,” Y/N enables his distress, pouting softly as the infant whines, his mouth stretching open wide as a dainty yawn leaves his lips and his arms reach up in the direction of his father.

“Are yeh getting tired?” she giggles, “D’you want yer Daddy?” her eyebrows raise and she purses her lips in question, only to receive yet another whimper, “yeah. Okay.” she groans, passing the child over to his Harry’s waiting arms.

“Must be tiring being a baby, huh?” Harry asks, craning his neck to watch the tired blinking of his heavy eyes.
