pros:

- great acting! I have nothing bad to say about it lol.

- for once I can judge an adaptation fully because I’ve read the original manga, yay! this was such a great adaptation. I felt as if they kept basically everything from the core material but removed the later years of their lives so as not to have a sad ending. and I’m honestly grateful bc I really didn’t wanna cry & instead I smiled like a big idiot :)

- the story is just… so lovely. it’s not perfect at all of course, especially the rocky parts of the relationship which can seem a little useless, but I felt as if the characters’ intentions were quite realistic so even the angst was quite good imo!

- I felt like the length & pace were just perfect. the original manga is very short (I legit read it in an hour right after having watched the show’s trailer bc I was super intrigued) so it would’ve felt weird if they’d come out with a 12 eps series. four episodes were just perfect to tell the story in a beautiful concise way & not one scene was wasted!

- the chemistry & intimacy!!! they snapped omg, usually japanese bls are really not super realistic in that aspect, but here you could feel the love & chemistry at every moment and I truly appreciated it!

cons:

- I legit struggled to find a con so bad lmaooo, but I know that for someone who hasn’t read the original manga the big conflict (staying vague bc I wanna do one review spoiler-free lmao) might seem to come out of nowhere & might make someone like the series less. that moment is very unexpected but I feel it does seem in line with the other lgbtq+ portrayals in japan that very often focus on society’s idea of mlm relationships & acceptance. so for me it didn’t phase me too much but I get that it will probably bother a lot of people so yeah that’s the only con I found lol

would I rewatch: of course!
