Without language, one cannot talk to people and understand them; one cannot share their hopes and aspirations, grasp their history, appreciate their poetry, or savor their songs. ― Nelson Mandela, 'A Long Walk to Freedom'

In a world of numerous languages...
...everyone is a potential friend!
Or at least, that's how I feel.
Of course, that's a lot easier said than done. After all, if you can't even communicate, how are you supposed to build a genuine connection?
Except you can communicate! Non-verbal communication, i.e. body language, is a powerful tool that neurotypical people make an instinctual sense of. By utilizing this tool, even if you are in a foreign country, it is possible to communicate with those you find yourself with. Getting directions, sharing simple emotions, and more is entirely possible even without being fluent in fifteen different languages. That is why I fully understand, but also disagree with the quote I've put in my, ah, description? Heading? You get the idea...
However! If you're like myself, that is to say you're neurodivergent, you're interested in the nuances of what is being communicated, or you just find joy in learning something new, (or all of the above!), then this blog may be for you.
This blog is dedicated to providing accessible information regarding languages found across the globe, as well as providing a place for you to connect with others of similar interests. As this is meant to be neurodivergent and disability friendly, please feel free to reblog/put in an ask/message me privately if you feel something needs to be changed or added to.
