Hunter used a few seconds to look over the other quickly. Elf but no Vallaslin, so not Dalish, there’s a staff nearby so a mage. He hasn’t moved to defend himself so isn’t concerned with getting attacked or is confident in his ability to take down anybody “

The crashing sounds of the ocean greeted him when he pulled himself from the Fade. A spirit nearby had tipped him of an intruder in the cave but Solas wasn’t bothered. In fact, he was curious and just as cautious as he thought he needed to be. 

He stood, legs sore from sitting in place for long hours, and began lighting torches around his camp. Solas didn’t wait to begin speaking. If the person were there, they would come upon him shortly. 

“If you’re looking for items of value, I assure you that I have none, but if you’d like to stay then you’re welcome to do so.”

“No, listen to me. If you don’t tell me what you wish to transport then we don’t have an agreement.” Hunter spoke cooly, gritting his teeth and he glared into empty space. He very rarely had to deal with potential customers but this guy had to be forwarded to him because of the guys absolute refusal to declare his cargo. And it was maddening.

“I don’t care how much you’re willing to bribe me with, I won’t do it.”After that, Hunter simply ended the call and groaned deeply to himself. Customers who thought that they were all the shit were actually just pieces of shit.

Hunter looked around the coffee shop that he was sat in to see if he had disturbed anybody else's day but saw that people were involved in their own phones or too busy talking with their own friends. It wasn’t that busy but it was early so it was only going to get worse as time went on.

He stood up from his table and walked over to the cashier and placed a few bills into the tip jar, smiling softly at the staff member’s face as they saw how much was left there and turned to leave, immediatly bumbing into the person behind him. Which was strange. Not many people could sneak up on him and get close like that. But he shook that thought off and began to apologise.

“Sorry about that man. How about I get you a coffee or something as an apology?”

A tip from one of his trusted informants within the company was the reason why Hunter was standing in the middle of an unused Navarro warehouse. It was in an area where break-ins were common so it had been left alone but it still owned by the company in case the area ever became profitable again.

The information that he got told him that someone, a high-up employee in the company who Hunter didn’t trust all that well, had been storing illegal products. Though it was a thing that his father allowed, or rather did nothing to prevent, Hunter didn’t like it. He doesn’t want his family name to be any more tarnished than it already was.

So he was stood, in the middle of the night, in the warehouse looking around for any sort of evidence of this. Until he could hear shooting.

A slow creep to the doors hid the sound of his footsteps and he looked outside and froze. There was a lot of crazy things in this world. But nothing more so than what he was seeing. A man with a flaming skull for a head.
