In Deadendia did Zangan become friend with Norma and Barney?

Mm, kind of. At the end, all the demon kings are tolerating our main characters because they have to work together to escape the angel prison. And zagan probably saved normas life since norma was like... dying... and zagan was just about to bite her to vamp her and save her but it's never revealed if that worked or what the result was.

So I guess you could say they became friends?

A couple things that are different from the show in the comics because why not:

Danny was originally british

Pael has a lot more screen time (or page time?) In the comics

There are 4 demons kings in the original, Baal, Paimon, Zagan, and Temeluchas. Paimon's gender is confusing because they sit in a manspread and are referred to as a 'king' but are also referred to as 'sister' and 'mother'. Also Baal isnt there at all in the show. Baal is Asmodeus' dad.

Barney's ghost episode was Norma's in the comics, and it was an entire arc, not just one chapter.

Fingers was a singular finger in the comics, and was also peach colored rather than pure white

Courtney faced a way worse end in the comics than the show. Will not elaborate
