Rough sketch of a battle between an elves and orcs. Totally inspired by the events of the first age when Morgoth took over Beleriand.

To me, as I perceived it, Manwe and Melkor are bound to each other, they are brothers and the eldest of the Valars, and they understand Eru more than the others. But at some point I think that Melkor was more powerful than his brother, even though at the end he didn't have authority over Arda because of his treason.
It's kinda love hate relationship because at a certain moment Manwe didn't really take a bold decision against Melkor, because he was his brother, and so is Melkor.
That's why I depict them in a same manner, the melancholy in their gesture is what I wanted.

If you are taking request, please draw Finrod.
Thanks!

Here is some vague image of Finrod that came to my mind. It's still a rough concept. People often depicted him in his glorious and wonderful shape, but to me, his story is so deep and his character is in a melancholy. So this raw and rough sketch of him probably my starting point to develop more illustrations about him and the rest of his family and house.

Raw sketch of the archangel of fire and the archangel of earth. Despite it's rough idea I think it's crucial to depict the first angels, then develop the visual key from them to expand the entire universe or Arda.

Illustrating a character is fun, but I also need to design the environment. So here is a sketch of a Numenorean outpost

Balrog vs Glorfindel, a close up drawing.
I used the LOTR Balrog as a reference but I made it to look more ancient, since I imagined that this Balrog was the first generation in Beleriand.

Raw concept of Finarfin led the Noldor into battle. The war of wrath is definitely one of my favorite chapters in Silmarillion.
Tolkien elves are basically superhuman, and I love the idea of how the elves rides the horse without any saddle or rein.

Maedhros.... The idea is actually premature, it was supposed to be a raw concept of Maedhros, I vaguely had him in my mind and need to sketch him as soon as possible. It turns out to be very good, I like it, it's perfect. I think I found my Maedhros.

Raw sketch of Glorfindel. The helmet totally inspired by Alan Lee's illustration. The armor piece was inspired by flower petals, I think it looks ugly. But however this is just the beginning, I'm still trying to invent a more believable-looking armor. More updates soon

A raw concept of Telerian elves, I tried to capture their culture and nature. The elves that had superior craftsmanship in both ship-building and songs. They were quite tall compared to their kin.

Luthien Tinuviel.
Here is, more or less my illustration of Luthien. Depicting the lengthening hair spell to create a shadow-like robe. As mentioned in the Lay of Leithian "for she put forth her arts of enchantment, and caused her hair to grow to great length, and of it she wove a dark robe that wrapped her beauty like a shadow, and it was laden with a spell of sleep"
