Why are so many mainstream male self-improvement accounts so sex centered? I will never understand this, honestly. Why is sex so important? Why is your status dependent on how many women you sleep with? Is that your only achievement? The only thing you can be proud of? So you are basically telling me you are absolutely nothing without women? That you have no worth by yourself, and the only thing that can help you be purposeful, high-status and worthy of respect is... a woman. Because a man is not enough by himself.

Having a lot of sex with all different people is not self-improvement. Sex, in itself, is of course not something to be ashamed of, but i can't see how it would be a part of self-improvement. It doesn't better your life in long-term, meaningful ways, it doesn't offer security or true worth. Sure, it might give pleasure in the moment, but what are you left with after? Do you get money in your bank account? Does it grow your business? Make you smarter? Teach you new skills? Make you more disciplined? Help you identify and eliminate your weaknesses? At least your network grows. How wonderful. I'm sure you can reach out to these people in the future for meaningful and important things.

These two, hooking up/sex and self-improvement, in my opinion should not be in the same conversation. It makes no sense. Why do these men put so much worth into the amount of women they sleep with? I'm not even coming at this from a men vs. women, feminist perspective or anything. I have the same opinion regardless of gender. This idea of sex=value is so stupid. There is so much more to life than that. wtf
