Just to clarify, there's a bill that would STOP credit card companies from controlling who's allowed to spend money on porn or "risque" (read: queer) content. If you don't think big business should be able to tell you what to spend your own damn money on, call your senators and reps to let them know! It's the Fair Access to Banking Act, H.R.987 in the House, S.410 in the Senate.

People still tend to lump JK Rowling in with the category of ~problematic artists~ and I need everyone to understand that is not the problem with her. She is not comparable to anyone who wrote a piece of fiction you hate, or someone who made rude comments in 2015 and has since learned better.

She is far more like Elon Musk. She is a radicalized person with an extreme amount of social and financial power, and for YEARS she has been using that power to try to influence her government into hurting vulnerable people, on purpose. And she has succeeded. THAT is the problem with her, and THAT is why spending money on her books is so dangerous, not because her books aged badly.

Critiquing her work is fine, of course (I personally was never a fan so I really don’t care) but you NEED to understand that fiction is not the main issue here. And I truly think acting like she’s the same as the rest of any giant list of ~problematic creators of the week~ waters down how dangerous she is.

it’s the last day of may and i finally have this mermay piece done lol. i struggled with the background until i though, “well, it’s not the focus so i can kinda just put blobs of color to indicate a kelp forest” and while i’m still not completely happy with it, it still looks ok 😅

my contribution to the MHA/Top Gun fandoms. idk if anyone else has this specific brain worm but here i am lol

i’ve been thinking about Top Gun since mid-August and recently thought to cross my interests, thus top gun mha au (and its krbk as icemav because i’m nothing if not predictable)

so initially i thought in terms of hair color, kirishima being the maverick stand in and bakugou being the ice stand in. BUT THEN i thought of the ANGST POTENTIAL IF IZUKU IS KILLED OFF. so now they’re more blended where bakugou looses deku in the accident like mav looses goose but bakugou’s personality is closer to ice’s being so blunt and calculating. and kirishima also having a strong personality of course, with a hidden feeling of inadequacy as is canon accurate

Here it is!!! The KrBk Inuyasha AU that i thought up during a rewatch of Inuyasha in 2023. Expanded after almost 2 years lol.

I can’t believe i sketched this out in 2023 and i actually finished it haha. i’d normally abandon wips after half a year 😭

I’ve been rewatching Inuyasha (again) and I got an idea.

SO FAR, I have Kirishima as Kagome, Deku and Kikyo, and Bakugou as Inuyasha. I have ideas for other characters too!!

Also I saw a version of this that was bkdk on Twitter in 2023, and while I love bkdk, I love krbk just a tad bit more, so I wanted to try my hand at this.
