Alright guys, I'm on volume 45 and I have to say that the relationship between Kagome and Inuyasha is SO MUCH DIFFERENT. So is his relationship with Kikyo. It's crazy how much the manga played up the love triangle sometimes. Don't get me wrong, the anime is absolutely amazing but the manga is just so nuanced and the small moments are actually shown rather than being blown up by drama.

I mean, there's still drama but the communication between Inuyasha and Kagome in the manga is much more healthy and she truly doesn't sit him as much as as it's depicted in the anime. They truly have this bond that can't be broken and it's making me SWOON. The kindness that Kagome holds in her heart is just so pure and she loves him so so much, while he's just holding onto all of this soul crushing guilt. She'll love him enough for them both because her half demon has no idea how to put things into words.

The small touches, the protectiveness and the devotion he has to Kagome is just heartbreaking. He so protective of all of the group and it's shown so much more that this group is truly a family. It's seamless and you can see the micro expressions on all of their faces at once and it just makes a difference. Even Kikyo and Kagome have a complicated bond!

Kagome is out here collecting strays, no matter who they are or what they've done. She'll save the world on kindness, love and a round of "sits."

The modern day chapters kill me. He can't let her out of his sight, even if it's for a school day. These small moments really just make the manga special. He's really holding her gently with her bag while also entertaining her friends, who's he's referred to as "baby ducks" before. I just love this manga so much

Oh yeah it's totally platonic when literally no space between them exists. Yep. Totally didn't read this and then immediately need to post it because I HAVE NO CHILL. If he took a deep breath, he would be pressed into her back. Bro could probably just rest his chin on her head if he moved a fraction of a bit closer. Can you guys tell I've spent my birthday just binging the manga? I'm on volume 40

The MAJOR changes for Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship are in volumes 5, 7 and 8 so far in my reread and I'm going on to volume 9 later tonight

If you need any other reason to read the manga, I will give you some. Inuyasha actually apologizes to Kagome. She doesn't go home near as often (so no huge fights and added drama) and they actually talk (sometimes) before she sits him to hell. Inuyasha realizes things we needed to hear in the anime, guys. Reading his inner thoughts are CRUCIAL.

I love the little changes in the fights too. The comedy is peak but I'm a sucker for the more in depth relationship between InuKag
