we moved on from the unwanted guest way more quickly than we should have…ianthe boobs out, palamedes smoking, both of them serving dyke drama realness, the reveal that souls in close proximity rub off on each other…it was too good

so much of the horror genre is informed by the metaphor of queer/transness as monstrousness. especially emphasizing the amount of horror that depends on the audience's repulsion at seeing a human body changing into a new, other body. I Saw the TV Glow is about the horror of NOT transitioning. the horror of static. the horror of looking into yourself and being terrified of what you see. the horror of seeing who you are and choosing to do nothing about it. the horror of looking away. and by god is it terrifying.

Perhaps it is always restful to be around someone who does not expect anything from you beyond what is in your nature.

gansey and blue and adam and ronan and noah represented so beautifully real teenage friendship- fast and funny and mean so often but also somehow the best thing you've ever experienced. those books are tainted with the taste of windows down summer on country back roads

Having "a lot" of followers on tumblr is funny because probably 80% of them are ghost blogs who haven't been on here in like a decade.
It's like, no no, those aren't my followers, that's a graveyard! I'm the caretaker of a thousands of tombs. I love them, but they've been dead for seven years.

Emmrich Volkarin - Dragon Age: The Veilguard
I've been meaning to ask how you'd like your body prepared in the event of your death.

nevarra dragonage you have to stop. your necromancers are too hot. your gothic aesthetic is too fire. your relationship with spirits too nuanced. your mages are too politically ambitious and powerful. your monarch is too undead. your bitch is too bad. they'll call an exalted march on you nevarra.
