‘Mutuals only / mutuals only please’ means mutuals only.

Okay so I’m pretty fed up lately with those who don’t listen to someone’s rules not only once but constantly. It’s disrespectful and could be avoided. The most common one I have seen is:

MUTUALS ONLY.

Pay attention to them. Mutuals only MEANS mutuals only, if they aren’t following you don’t like their starter call etc, you are not a special little snowflake who will get special treatment and that they’ll follow you just so you can get one. That’s not how it works, if anything the last thing they will do now is follow you, maybe even block you. Nobody likes getting into situations like this, it’s not nice at all for both sides.

And ‘I didn’t know’ isn’t an excuse and it never could be used as an excuse before, there’s a feature on your followers that you can use to check.

It’s this:

You see it everytime you go to your followers list. USE IT.

Type in their name and search, if they do follow you it will say:

It literally only takes a couple of seconds to paste their name into it and search, if they’re not following you don’t like the starter call, if they are then hurrah, like that post and start threading with them! It’s win-win.

Save yourself and the other person the embarrassment, possible drama and getting yourself blocked and check before liking anything. It will make this experience more enjoyable for both of you.

Robin let out a startled little squeak, stumbling backward and tripping over his own feet. He landed on his back and groaned before sitting up in the snow. He glanced around frantically, his gaze drifting from the bloodied post to the bigger skeleton monster. He was HUGE compared to him... and he looked frightening. 

💣✡ ☠✌💣☜ ✋💧📬📬📬☼⚐👌✋☠📬

Slowly, he staggered upright and brushed the snow from his jacket. If only he could speak normally... but hey, most of his alternates knew Wingdings. Which was a good thing.

By the time Robin arrives at the post, Horror is fast asleep, arms crossed over the table and head rested on the corner of them. There’s a loud yawn, but otherwise, the skeleton monster doesn’t stir.

Not until Robin gets too close to the post. One scarlet eye opens, a low, rumbling growl slithering from between his fangs. The thin, cat-like pupils watching Robin suddenly fade under the crimson glow of his magic.

A fire ring, though low, ignites. One hand takes hold of a cleaver, the other is used to push himself up. Horror chuckles, cocking his head to the side.

“Well, well. Now, who are you, little buddy?”

Robin admitted before sighing. At least this guy was a pretty friendly alternate. Still, it didn’t do much to ease his panic. Communicating with others wasn’t his strong suit, and it made him over analyze his thoughts.

     “… Huh?” It seemed as if the skeleton had been well into the process of dozing on his feet, shaking his head sharply, both in an attempt to wake himself and save face. He probably should have been surprised to find that the monster who had bumped into him was an alternate, but by then, the multiverse had been integrated into his life in such a seamless fashion that it was almost normal to him.

     Monsters lived underground. The sun shined. And there were a whole lot of Sanses wandering around. All things considered, Humerus was pretty fine with it.

Robin took a small, cautious step back. This alternate looked somewhat intimidating and he had no intention of angering him. All he really wanted to do was get back to his own timeline, though he’d most likely have to wait for a while. His magic was drained.

Razz looks up curiously from his phone towards the stranger. It takes him a minute to recognize the familiar features as an alternate, though one he does not know. The words, however, or at least how they’re communicated, is what catches him off guard. His body stiffens as he glares at the stranger.
