nothing is better than a well-written heavy angst fic

* Hitomi was born in a family that were traveling musicians. They went from place to place performing for places all over the grand line. They were thriving and took in others as well until the Celestial Dragons took an interest in them.

* Somewhere in between their encounter with the Celestial Dragons, Hitomi ate the Cleanse Cleanse Fruit, which is a devil fruit that can heal anyone’s injury so long as she is able to do a blessing to the user. This is oftentimes, in a hymn that Hitomi sings.

* Anyways, the Celestial Dragons decide that they want their entertainment, but they obviously fight back and most of them killed (her father is among the one of the people who survived but Hitomi doesn’t find that out till she is brought into the New World.)

* Hitomi is enslaved to the Celestial Dragons for her talent as well as discovering she was able to heal others.

* She would’ve been used for the World Government’s use if she stayed with them longer but she was among the slaves freed by the Revolutionary Army.

* She is eventually recruited by Akita, a revolutionary Army commander, to join the Chusei Assassins

* Her devil fruit awakening can essentially bring someone back from the dead. But I haven’t figured out that part yet
