Crawling down into the darkness of the hive, Hybriid moved straight into the central chamber, hissing at her sisters to tell them not to attack. One of the more confident xenomorphs from the hive made towards one of Hex's followers, but Hybriid moved to stand directly in front of her sister in an intense stare down. After a few minutes of this display, the sister finally backed away, hissing quietly. Moving onwards, Hybriid motioned to Hex to stay back, turning to the darkest part of the hive, where her mother resided. The dark-haired woman strode into the dark, moving to embrace the Queen, caressing her armoured head gently, hissing softly at her. She began to explain that they had visitors, their own kind had crash landed on the planet and required shelter. The Queen took in the information relatively calmly, but as Hybriid mentioned Hex, she hissed threateningly at her daughter. "Please mother...she will be no harm, she needs somewhere to stay for the night before they can return home." The Queen harshly hissed again, this time louder, more defiant. Her answer was no. Hex's followers may stay for the night but Hex herself must not. The reason being that because Hex has the DNA of a Queen, she rivalled Hybriid's mother, any of her children within the hive could choose to follow Hex instead and she did not want to lose any of her hive. Sighing slightly, Hybriid left a kiss on her mother's head before returning to Hex. "Your xenomorphs can stay...but you can't. You'll have to stay up top with me. Don't take it personally, mother's just protecting her authority."
Hex followed Hybriid, scaling the rocks with an easy grace. The Xenomorphs trailed along after the two of them. When they reached the entrance, Hex hesitated. She turned to her Xenomorphs, hissing out “Behave.” before warily following Hybriid in.

The dark female's wine coloured eyes darted over David's face, travelling up and down his figure, memorizing his looks and stance almost instantly. His tone remained calm and after prowling around the blonde android for a few minutes, she began to understand what was different about him. His scent was not like the average human...there was no natural essence...just a strong artificial, metallic smell. Despite his appearance, much like herself, he was far from human. To a human's eye, he was no different; oh how many fools had made that same assumption about her too. After viewing him, Hybriid returned to her original position in front of him, her eyes darted from his face to the floor then back again.
"No...it's not a problem." She was always hesitant upon meeting new people...having never had any kind of friendship with another person, she was never sure what to expect or how to act around others. Of course, she had been accepted by her sisters within the hive, but with humanity and any other species it was a whole different story. "I'm not exactly your average human either."
“Brilliant deduction.” In his statement, one could not decipher if he was being patronizing, or if he was genuinely congratulating her. Of course Mr. Weyland would program him in such a way — or was this a learned characteristic? Only David knew the answer to that one.
Tumblr media
“I hope that will not be a problem for you.” Taking her in with his synthetic blues, he’s able to calculate that she’s not an ordinary human. She bears a striking resemblance to Doctor Elizabeth Shaw. There was something else in her DNA that struck out to the android. He was going to keep himself quiet about his findings.

"Well then...let's get moving, mother doesn't like to be kept waiting." Hybriid turned away from Hex and her xenomorphs, moving swiftly over the terrain of LV-426, leaping and climbing over the rocks surprisingly elegantly for such an aggressive individual. She did not look over her shoulder, assuming that they would follow her. It didn't take the dark woman long to reach the entrance to the hive, lowering herself into the deep hole within the ground, letting out a warning hiss to any of her siblings, telling them that they had guests.
Hex’s lips formed a small smile as Hybriid talked to the Xenomorphs, nodding when she looked up at her. “That would be immensely appreciated. I did not come here to threaten anyone, and if the ship hadn’t destroyed itself on impact, we wouldn’t have stayed long. Under the circumstances, I would gladly take your offer, should your mother feel threatened.”

As one of her sisters sniffed her hand curiously, Hybriid let out a soft, reassuring hiss in the tongue of the xenomorphs, kneeling next to the beautiful creature, bringing her hands to gently caress the smooth, dark, skin of the xenomorph's head. "Be still my sisters...I am a child of the all-mother...a Queen, like the beautiful creature you follow so loyally." She hissed to the xenomorphs, motioning to Hex when she mentioned the Queen. "I am certain my mother will be honoured to meet you...should you need rest, you are welcome within our hive." Pausing, Hybriid made eye contact with Hex for a moment. "Be wary...for this is her territory...there can only be one Queen in this hive. I will accompany you, in case she requests you do not reside within the hive. I have a place on the terrain, a sort of study if you like, I built it inside a small cave, it's perfectly hospitable. Sometimes if I need space from my family I stay there. Should my mother feel threatened by your presence you can stay with me for the night, there's room for two."
Hex watched Hybriid circle her again, nodding slowly. “I know the feeling. I too have experienced loss at the hands of the humans. It’s the reason my Hive and I still live on Earth. We wish to avenge the fallen, then destroy the ones responsible. I’ve might have taken care of the ones responsible for my creation, but there are others out there who might think the same way. They must be stopped.”
One of the smaller Xenomorphs in the group tentatively padded towards Hybriid, stopping when it got close enough to sniff her hand.

A lazy smirk curled at the corner of the dark woman's mouth as the yellow orbed female scowled and aggressively addressed the darkness. Stepping from the shadows, Hybriid leapt down from one of the trees, landing effortlessly, brushing off her dark clothing. "Now now, there's no need to get worked up pretty lady..." Hybriid slowly began to prowl around the feisty woman, taking in all of the new smells within the wilds.
It did not take long for the witch in question to feel the hairs on the back of her neck rise; she was no fool. Someone was watching her and ever closely too, a notion that set her into paranoia and annoyance. “Who is that?” She finally called while twisting her heels in the mud and dirt, scowling darkly, “make yourself known or I’ll make you known!”

From a distance Hybriid watched the human female gathering flowers in the wilds, noticing the glow of her yellow-amber orbs almost illuminated the surrounding darkness. Something about the woman was different...she was not like the other humans Hybriid had encountered. Her scent was stronger, unique. Fascinated by this woman, Hybriid remained close, observing her.

While Hex explained her story, Hybriid listened quietly, taking in all of the information she was being provided with. Her expression remained emotionless as her wine coloured eyes slowly looked over Hex again while she continued to speak. A low growl rose from the back of her throat when Hex mentioned that her father had conducted experiments on her. The thought of testing and experiments made Hybriid's blood boil. If it hadn't been for experiments she wouldn't be this creature in the first place, she wouldn't exist at all. Hybriid wasn't sure if the fate of not existing was kinder than the living as she was now. "I knew you were different..." The dark woman moved closer again, starting to circle Hex once more, taking in her scent. "Your scent is not like your drones...it is stronger." Closing her eyes she inhaled slowly before letting the air back out of her mouth a distant smirk on her lips. "Humanity will pay for what they have done to us. Many of my brothers and sisters have been lost to them." Her smirk faded now as she thought of the pain her mother had experienced upon losing her children.
Hex was taken aback slightly by the abruptness of the question, but she obliged. “Well, like I said; I was once completely human. My father worked for a company- the one responsible for the colony here I believe- who were trying to create the perfect living weapon. They had extracted the DNA out of several Xenomorphs, and were trying to merge it with human DNA. None of the test subjects survived however.”
She chuckled bitterly. “My father, being the loving person he was, forced me into the procedure. All of the other subjects had been willing volunteers, I was not.” She shuddered slightly at the memory. “The pain was excruciating, I thought I was dead. But, I survived. My father and his friends thought they could control me. How very wrong they were.”
She shifted her weight slightly. “You see, the DNA they combined with mine was not the Drone Xenomorph DNA that they had used on the others. They had used the DNA of a Queen. Using that, I broke free from their restraints and killed them all, my father included.” She gestured to the Xenomorphs behind her. “These guys make up a tiny fraction of the Hive back on Earth.”

Hybriid eyed the pale man up and down for a while, not responding to his polite introduction while she took in his appearance. "David huh? You're not human...are you?" As always, the dark woman didn't waste anytime with pleasantries or being aware of what was appropriate to say and what was not.

"That depends on who's asking." Hybriid's tone appeared to be calm, but the dark woman was never calm on the inside; her rage remained disguised, hidden by her façade, the one David had taught her to master. Sometimes she let out her true feelings, the anger reached the surface and when it did nothing was held back. A smirk curled at the corners of her mouth.
+ hybriid-xenomorph
She had the spitting image of Elizabeth, but she did not give off the same friendly, down-to-earth vibes. It was presence she hadn’t felt since she was on the Nostromo, upon the rocky surface of LV-426.
“Do I know you?”

If there was something else Hybriid had adopted from David, it was his constant curiosity and need to learn more about concepts he didn't understand. In this case, the dark woman wanted to know more about Hex...about humans. She only knew what David had told her...nothing valid since he was an android and could not give anything more real as an example to her. "What happened to you?" She asked, without even considering that it might have been insensitive or intrusive to ask something like that. Hybriid didn't care about feelings, she just wanted knowledge.
“Hybriid. I like it.” Hex noticing, noticing how Hybriid reacted. “I wouldn’t dwell on it too much. People like us honestly don’t have a need for a name. The only reason I have one is because I was once completely human.” Hex looked down at the last part, quickly looking back up at Hybriid. “Besides, I can’t think of a more fitting name.” She said with a light smile.

The dark-haired woman kept eye contact with Hex for a moment, up until she was asked for a name in return. Hearing the question caused her to look away, almost in shame. Hybriid had been born from the alien Queen herself, her human mother had no idea she even existed. Her mentor, the android David, had never given her a name, but in her studies they had discussed what it was to be a cross between two species...and the word had stuck with her. On most occasions she'd never had to introduce herself, she lived on LV-426 with her hive and her mother...names had been irrelevant until now. David had prepared her with information about how to act around different species...but the woman often took no notice of him. "I don't have a name." She swallowed dryly, looking back to Hex. "But you can call me Hybriid. A fitting title don't you think?" The bitterness was clear in her tone.
“Hexus. But call me Hex.” Hex replied with a smile. “My Xenomorphs and I travelled here from Earth.” She tilted her head again curious. Meeting another like her raised the question, was she created, like Hex was? Was this the work of the humans?
Hex kept her questions to herself, turning back to the other. “What about you? Do you have a name?” She asked.

The growl that left Hex's lips caused Hybriid's smirk to widen...this woman was so much like her...she could smell it; her scent was alluring. Hybriid moved her hand across the other woman's cheek now before moving back and folding her arms. "As did I. Do you have a name?" She continued to talk in English, ignoring the occasional hiss in her mind from the Queen asking her to report back. Hybriid wanted this moment to herself...she may never meet someone like her ever again, a connection was formed already. She was finally no longer alone.
Hex watched the other circle her, remaining quiet. She let out a small growl when she gripped her chin, but made no move against her. Hex smirked slightly, seamlessly switching to English. “It seems I am. I thought I was the only one.”
Seeing that Hex wasn’t treating the stranger as a threat, the Xenomorphs eased off, backing up slightly before sitting down.

The dark-haired woman wasted no time moving closer to the other female, stalking her in a circle as the other xenomorphs hissed threateningly, suggesting that if she tried to attack Hex they were willing to defend her. Hybriid merely shot them glares, their hisses becoming softer as she continued to move around the other humanoid until she'd finished the full circle, now standing directly in front of her. "Curiosity can be dangerous...you are not like my brothers and sisters." She still spoke in the xenomorph tongue, moving one hand to swiftly grip Hex's chin, tilting her head from one side to the other, admiring her. A dark smirk reached her lips and when she spoke again she spoke in English, the conversation strictly becoming between the two of them, since her followers would not understand. "You're like me."
Hex turned at the sound of the other. She knew Xenomorphs resided here, so she expected at least one to find them. What she wasn’t expecting, was someone that looked…human. Hex tilted her head, observing the other with interest. Her xenomorphs shifted uncomfortably. Clearly this woman had the scent of a Xenomorph, but they were made uneasy by her appearance.
Tumblr media
Hex listened to the other, a growl rumbling deep in her throat. “We’re curious.” She replied, eyeing the other. She briefly wondered if there were others like this woman out there, perhaps that was what the colony was here for.

Breaking into a brisk run, the dark-haired female dodged and weaved and jumped across rubble and debris on the planet's rocky terrain, following the scent of what seemed to be a crash. The smoke reached her nostrils causing her to inhale deeply. After a few minutes, Hybriid stopped, standing completely still as she looked across the rocks towards the destroyed spacecraft. She slowly lowered herself into a seating position, her sharp eyes watching the group near the crash. Hybriid's senses immediately picked up the scent of her kind, a small smirk reaching her lips. For a short while she remained seated, just observing the members of her kind, noticing that they were following one in particular... This leader they followed had the appearance of a human...but there was no doubt her scent matched her kind...was she a cross too? Until now Hybriid had never believed it to be possible that there could be another cross species human xenomorph like herself. Curiosity overruled caution as the dark-haired woman rose from the rocks, moving towards the humanoid, her eyes devoid of any kind of fear. Slowly, she let out a deep hiss through her teeth, speaking in the tongues of the xenomorphs. If this human truly was like her, she would have understood her every word. "You don' t belong here. Why have you come?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hex struggled to her feet, looking back at the rubble which was all that remianed of the spacecraft. “Well, it looks like we’re stuck here for a while.” She said to no one in particular, glancing around at her Xenomorphs. She sighed, turning around. She started walking off in a random direction, her Xenomorphs trailing behind her. “I’m sure there’s a colony around here…”

Deep within the darkest depths of LV-426 the Alien Queen and her swarm of children resided, safe from the humans at the colony Hadley's Hope. In time, the Queen hoped to infiltrate the colony and remove of the threat the humans posed for her and her offspring, but for now she would allow them to settle, to believe that the planet was safe...to give them a false sense of security before they made plans to strike. There were many different hives on the planet, the Queen safely in the central hive chamber, her most loyal child always by her side. Hybriid rarely left the hive...the Queen was protective over her, but sometimes the half-human half-xeno would sneak out to explore the planet. Hybriid had been sleeping deep in the hive chamber but a loud disturbance above the ground sent vibrations down into the hive, causing her to wake. Rising from her slumber, Hybriid listened as her mother gave her the order to investigate who or what had arrived on their planet. In her human form, Hybriid climbed from the hive, crawling until she reached the surface, moving in the direction of the noise.
Hex had always wanted to go into space. More specifically, LV-426. She’d heard much about the planet, and decided to travel there. Hijacking a spacecraft was simple enough; Hex and a small team of her Xenomorphs took command if the craft and flew it to LV-426. Hex could fly the spacecraft with relative ease, the problem came when she tried to land. The ship slammed into the surface of the planet, throwing Hex and her Xenomorphs out of it.
Tumblr media
Hex groaned, heaving herself into a sitting position. She looked around, watching her Xenomorphs recollect themselves. “Well, that wasn’t so bad.” She muttered to herself.

With a small nod to her mother's first reply, Hyrbiid leaned close, resting her face against the Queen's. However when she heard the next part of what her mother hissed, she pulled back, a serious frown reaching her face. When she hissed in return she seemed determined. "No...it is too dangerous even in your human form to dwell among the fleshy ones...they may be soft...but they have means to kill...I have...seen it. My brothers and sisters taken by their wretched hand...your children, slain, by their ignorance!" With each hiss, Hybriid's anger boiled in her stomach just from thinking about how many of her family she had lost to humans. In her rage, she let out a long growl, letting her body transform into her xenomorph state, grunting harshly from the pain of the change. She continued to hiss, her anger dangerous. "They would not accept me like this...if they all knew I was a hybrid...they would try to kill me in an instant, no matter how loyal I may have been otherwise. Fleshy ones...I hate them!" Her spitting and hissing was becoming so filled with rage, a few of her brothers and sisters had gathered to see what the fuss was about and if their mother was alright.
“Do not be discovered.” The Queen warned her daughter who so lovingly stroked her face, the attention was welcomed. If there was one thing the Queen meant well it was taking care of each of her offspring - no matter how many or how they appeared. As far as she was concerned the newest daughter and herself had such a powerful connection. Who knew the reasons… but she valued them.  “I will come with you…” She informed knowingly, “you will not be alone.”
