Damn the Scholasticate quests hit SO much harder than I thought. The very concept of living records of Ishgard’s crimes is so so fucked up and yeah I would go insane too if I had to live with that. It’s a good case of something doing something wrong for the right reasons. It also hits personally with Thorn, interacting with a direct member of his family and grappling with the Dzemael legacy. Ru really got a taste of what the dynamic of the High Houses really were like in the height of their power. As someone who grew up in a nomadic dunesfolk family, he started to appreciate the connections he has with his family and is definitely missing them. This will be an interesting thing for him to deal with going into Stormblood. I’m really glad we covered these. I’m also gonna miss Briardien, we need to see him again
Next time we finally get back to the MSQ and start the approach to Stormblood! I’m so scared!
