Kirthaven Gym: Gym Motivation

Business was booming at the Kirthaven Gym, and Max was its newest customer. He'd always been a gym nut, but when his friends all started going to the Kirthaven, he decided to give the place a try.

So far, thought, the experience had been less than ideal. The man at the front desk had been deadpan, and it looked like the trainers were the same. You don't want them gushing, he thought, but doing something to motivate helped everyone.

"Is there a problem, sir?" a scrawny young man asked as he walked up.

"You're a trainer?" Max was incredulous.

"No, I'm the owner," the man replied smugly.

"Well, yeah, there is a problem. Your employees aren't really helping motivate your customers," Max said accusingly.

"Well, sir, we here at Kirthaven Gym feel that motivation is very important, but that kind of motivation doesn't go far enough, and so we're going to the cutting edge. The music you are hearing is specially tailored to help motivate you as you listen."

Max raised an eyebrow at that. "Really?"

"Oh yes, as long as you focus on it, you'll be able to do more and push harder. Why don't you give it a try?" the man said, indicating a weight machine that was open.

Max shrugged. "I guess I can."

Max started working out as the owner watched. Huh, he's right, Max thought as he started working out. The music was easy to focus on; he barely heard the owner's rambling.

"Yup, this is state-of-the-art. Everything you need to help get you to the place that you want to be. Focusing on the music helps you do that. It goes straight to those portions of your mind that distract you and just blocks them out. Can't you feel it?"

"Yeah," Max replied, finding his attention easily focused on his reps. And the music. And the owner's voice.

"Those blocks are very important," the owner continued, "and the longer you listen to the music, the more those unimportant things can be blocked out. So the more you work out, the easier it is to block out fatigue, to to block out distractions, to block out worries, to block out cares. So easy to focus with those gone. But there are other things that distract you, too. Like your memories?"

Wha? Max thought, the shock trying to break him from the music and the words. But the owner droned on.

"Memories are so distracting. Bringing up the past, trying to make you think of other times. Better to let the music block it out. Even the little things like your name are distracting, unimportant."

My name? Max thought blearily. My name is uh... ummmm.... I... thinking... hard... reps... music... his thoughts drifted off. He continued to pump, but his eyes rolled back in his head, his brain seeming to dribble with mush with the owner's final words.

Aiden managed to subdued Ricardo who's busy working in the kitchen and also Jeff, the youngest among the rest of the workers and also the one with the second most solid set of muscle for the small-town citizen, who's busy working in the connected bathroom between the 2 kids room

Meanwhile, the newly-minted Max managed to brought down Don, the oldest and also the biggest among the crew as he surprised him from the back with a handful of goo,

and also Ben, the Iraqi veteran new-joiner, interested to work on the field for past couple days as it's part of his iniatiation by the owner of the construction firm/his best friend, Carter

With all 5 men already fell under the control, the insatiable lust for more keeps on popping within the alien mind, as there's still a lot of the black goo in the bathroom that needed proper vessel. Part 4: A Little Change of Course (Don and Jeff's Boys)

While Jeff is busy taking down college boys, Don went on a different route.

Don always hit the gym right after work, and it's only normal for the alien to hit the gym too while in control of the muscle tank's body.

But, much to its dismay, Don is practically a lone wolf that no one dared to mess with so it couldn't make a move to spread around. That's why it decided to move itself out from Don's body in search for a more approachable body, and lucky for him, one such specimen seemingly fulfilled its needs

He's one of the trainer in this gym, well, that in itself already provided bigger reach than Don as he could certainly help it to takeover more people with its charming smile and trusted status as a PT. It didn't take long for the big black muscle man to easily overpower the white handsome PT that is certainly smaller than him, and it was stealthy too as the takeover happened during Don seemingly spotting the PT. The trainer, named Davy, just smiled as the black goo left only a tiny bit of itself within Don and chose himself

"Well, happy to help the cause," he said to himself as his brain fully taken over by the black goo

He quickly spotted the other PT in the gym and swiftly infected them one by one for starter.

By the time the gym is filled with the after-work crowd around 7 PM, all the PT and the gym staffers already taken over and with that, a second operational base outside of the home is set in no time

By 7 PM, Trent, Jeff's minions, also already made his move and subjugated all the frat boys from Pike

It was all started from one of the boys letting Trent in after seeing Trent staring at Pike's house from the outside a tad too long.

That was basically the start of the downfall as the access given let Trent went on a wild spree taking down frat boys in all shapes and sizes within Pike.

Freshmen that just pledged, juniors, seniors, even Master's degree student and former President of the local Pike chapter that continued his school in the local uni fell victim to the fast-spreading black goo

When Jeff came to check on Trent's work as he visited Pike fresh from taking over the other two roommates left of his, he keeps on serious facial expression and commending Trent's speediness

Deep down, he's thrilled beyond believe that the takeover went on this smoothly. Surely Master will grant him some kind of prizes for managing the biggest takeover in under 24 hours, because let's face it, how can you beat the amount of people taken over in a crowded frat house? Unless your spreading spree happened in a mall, nothing should come close to the level he just achieved with the help from Trent. Not to mention that the frat will held the biggest party of the start of the season and situated in a campus with thousands of students, certainly he'll become the biggest contributor to the cause

Body a Day 14: Battery
