He’s got plenty of relics at his house (and he’s got a few in his pockets even now), so he’s not really lying, right? 

     “Let’s say I am a gauntlet thief,” he says mysteriously, trying to emulate the kind of cool confidence he imagines a gauntlet thief would have. “What kind of gantlets’re you interested in? And … how good of a sleep are we talkin’? Like, catch up on a week of insomnia kinda sleep or, like, ascend Targon and meet the Ascended kinda sleep? My rates are pretty steep.”

The sleep deity was met by dull, golden eyes.

Frankly, the woman had stopped listening not even halfway through his sheepish inquiry. She did not need to hear further than the word ‘misplaced’, as the rest was quite easy to perceive when pertaining to Hypnos.

Though she was actually not quite sure how he even lost it in the first place, as she did not see him move around beyond the foyer of the house, at least not often; sleeping or not, he did stay mostly in his sector.

She sighed after a few seconds as the familiar view of desperate eyes seemed to peel out a response from her. Truth be told, she had no time to help him find it, but she also could not afford to have Lord Hades’ wrath on any of them. So with that, she’d play his little game.

❝ Surely it wouldn’t be far, unless there is a sleeping spot you are using that I am unware of. ❞  it’d not be below him to hide away to sleep, she figured. In which case, forgetting about his list there could be quite plausible.  ❝ May this serve as a “hypothetical” lesson, my child… ❞ 

She hummed, having to step out of all his theories and concepts.

    Ezreal turns the gauntlet over so it catches the sunlight, gleaming. “That’s the third rule of archaeology, y’know: finders keepers. And it’s gonna take more than a hunk of metal to keep me down, even if that hunk of metal is supercharged with ancient magic that ... I don’t really understand. Point is, it’s mine, and I can handle a bit of danger.”

The garden of the Zaavan Manor is an immense, bountiful thing, flora bursting from any space it can manage in endless colors and shapes. It is left mostly to itself, aside from watering- no culling, or trimming to be done, and the result of several centuries of this is that it now resembles a jungle moreso than the garden of a noble of Elise’s stature.

This is how she prefers it, of course, the natural state of the garden making it an incredible habitat for many of the breeds of arachnids she propagates. Through the senses of said spiders, she maintains a careful watch over her grounds.

Until now, because it very rarely occurred to spiders to look up. One moment, she’s cradling a tulip bulb, the next, she’s face to face with a… Floating dreamer.

Her instinct is to attack, naturally- he’s intruded upon her home, and from the sky, somehow- but the presence of the aspect puts her at ease, somehow. He seems to lack any hostility, and really, if he was going to attack her, he had a lengthy opening to do so before revealing himself with such a strange question.

So she humors him.

“Approximately 997 AN, and you’re in the northern part of Noxus, not far from the Bastion. Are you in need of directions?”
