Hi!! My friends and I adore your Terror zine and were wondering if you'd ever make copies to sell/make a PDF available to buy for printing at home?
hey!! thank you for your interest, i'm so glad people like the zines!
here's a link to the files set up for printing (and a guide on how to fold a zine so you can make these and then a billion other zines)
i just printed them at home (can't do to the edge printing), and so theres a little bar of white around the edge but it just makes it feel more handmade lmao
the spacing might be kind of wonky but i'm p sure i fixed it.... but anyways! they're homemade and now theyre yours too!
HAVE AT THEM, FRIENDS

Writing Terror fan fiction so often feels like writing fix-it on hard mode. No, more than that. It feels like I’m engaging in a Sisyphean act of necromancy.

Victorian drag portraits, anyone?
These photos (1, 2, 3) from the James Gardiner Collection are open access and available to view on JSTOR courtesy of the Wellcome Collection.
Dating from the 1850s to 1890s, the hand-colored portraits come from a Victorian album of 35 cartes de visite showing private and theatrical female impersonation. While many of these performances were intended as entertainment, the images also gesture toward gender nonconformity and queer expression.
See more from the album.

I'm thinking AU where everything is the same but they have phones but NO signal except for some dodgy Victorian LAN that allows for furious texting between ships.
Very lucky for Sophia Cracroft that drunk texting/calling was not possible while Francis Crozier was alive. Not so lucky for Fitzjames.

I'm sorry, WHO is this on a Republic of Mali stamp????
(Turns out it's actually a portrait of Sir Charles Napier by Henry William Pickersgill - picture below)
Handsome! Don't know much about the guy, was he a prick?

Went to the RGS and saw one of the actual copper collars they put on arctic foxes in an attempt to find Franklin survivors. Had to draw JCR about it

If I was good at art I would draw myself offering Tuunbaq a pup cup like Hickey offered his tongue. I would then draw myself subsequently getting my arm bit off, again like Hickey.

I see you need permission to post pictures of SPRI’s museum collection but I’ll just sneak one in. A model of this girl. She was very beautiful.

Truly a miserable experience posting anything Terror on AO3 at the moment. It’s more fun to just drop little fics on here / discord.
#honestly I’ve started posting on there for archival purposes more than anything else#which is a shame
