Honey! Late night motivation got me again! (i say be patient in my last post and now here i am lol) (also please give me names for this fic aurghhhh)
anyways, back to the logicality tomfoolery! (is this a slow-burn fic?)
He groaned as white light flashed in front of his eyes, blinking as his eyes adjusted
The space surrounding him was dark and deep blue, water pressing against his skin like an uncomfortably tight hug.
It was cold yet not ice cold, only cold enough where it made the hair on his body stand up and made him overly aware. Aware he could breathe and move like he was moving through air, his movements not having nearly the resistance water would have.
He drifted for a few moments, not knowing if he was asleep or awake. That was, until his eyes started to pick up a faint humming (ringing? he wasn’t exactly sure) noise from far off.
He swam towards it carefully, a light soon coming into view, only a dot before he got closer.
The light seemed to ripple warmth, making him naturally attracted to it instead of the mostly cold water that still surrounded him. So, he swam closer.
And closer.
And closer..
He swam for so long he didn’t even know how long he’d swimming. (had he been swimming? or had the water just pulled him here? he didn’t know)
Closer still until the source of the light was only a few feet away, the figure that seemed to be emitting the light just barely a silhouette.
He got closer, the swim progressively getting harder as he fought against an invisible current he had not noticed before.
To his surprise, the light was emitting from a bubble that contained a silhouette, and it was not just a person that caused the light.
He tentatively reached out…
The tips of his nails just barely grazed the bubble…
Before he could comprehend it, images—memories—flashed before his eyes.
He saw many things, all lasting for a split second shorter than he needed to comprehend them.
Water and sand swirling around him, tossed by the current.
A rocky cave roof dazzled with the reflection of water.
A handsome and slightly blue scaled face, that image enough to make his face feel hot.
The creature wrapping seaweed bandages around his body, treating him with astounding carefulness.
It holding Patton’s conch necklace in its webbed hand, offering the jewelry with surprising caution that he had not yet recognized sparking in its beautiful sea blue eyes.
The scene slowed fading as he got sung to sleep by the beautiful creature…
Patton bolted upright in his cot, panting and drenched in a cold sweat.
Disoriented, he lit the lantern by his bedside, getting up and pouring himself a glass of water, chugging the whole glass even though he wasn’t particularly thirsty.
He took a moment to catch his breath, his lantern light and sharp contrast the moonlight streaming through the downstairs windows, some cracked open to let in the fresh midnight air and cool the house.
Patton sighed, barely even remembering what his strange dream was about. Something about… a handsome face and his necklace? His hand instinctively came up to his neck, relieved when his fingers landed on the conch pendant’s smooth surface once more.
He eventually shook it off after a few moments, settling down into his cot again to hopefully catch some more sleep before his day out on the town with the twins.
He blew out his lantern and laid his head on his pillow again, his brain more than happy to slip him into an easy slumber, deep and dreamless, for the remainder of the night.

(READ TAGSSS… pls) Dropping another chapter bc late night motivation got me in a choke hold last night (Logicality Siren AU fic)
Patton woke up on sun-warmed sand, him flipping onto his stomach to cough up non-existent water, all he could remember before being thrown overboard was the hurtful chant’s overwhelming his ears.
He was still thoroughly confused, dazed by the quickly warming mid-afternoon summer sun into another spell of unconsciousness.
He wasn’t expecting to wake up for the second time, already anticipating himself in some type of afterlife until someone shook him, jolting him into complete consciousness.
He yelped, a name almost coming to his lips before it disappeared on his tongue, leaving him panting in the oddly empty air.
“Oh thank the gods, he’s alive.” A relieved voice spoke, followed by a rougher, more scruffy and teasing one. “Ugh, boo! No fun!”
“Remus!” The first voice scorned, Patton blinking as his eyes adjusted to the wonkily distributed candle and lantern light. “Hello? Are you there?” Patton heard words being spoken to him, a hand waving an inch or so away from his face.
He swallowed, getting his breathing under control before answering. “Y-yeah. Where… Where am I?” He asked shakily, giving himself a shake before rubbing his nose bridge, realizing his glasses weren’t there and quickly checking for his conch shell, which was luckily still secure around his neck.
One of the voices snorted, the one Patton assumed was Remus. “Somewhere safer than out their baking on the beach like a human gingersnap.” Patton turned to look at Remus as he spoke.
Remus was tall, his head covered in a mass of long and thick dark brown curls. He had emerald green eyes and a scraggly (yet it was obviously styled to look that way) dark brown mustache. He was wearing black leather pants, boots, and fingerless gloves, covering his chest with a black-dyed deer hide tunic.
“Yes, my brother is at least somewhat right.” So the two were brothers. “This is our humble abode, and we have brought you her in the hope that you are not dead.” The other voice explained, Patton turning to look at that brother.
“And, my apologies, we have not yet introduced ourselves. I am Roman,” Roman put a hand to his chest respectfully. “And that,” He gestured to Remus. “Is my twin brother, Remus.” Remus mimicked the hand-to-chest gesture his brother did, there seeming to be at least an ounce of respect in the man.
Patton took a second to examine Roman before introducing himself in turn. Roman was an inch or two shorter than Remus, straighter and lighter brown hair cut shorter on his head, eyes a shade of brown that sparked a deep red at some angles.
He was wearing brown leather pants and boots, the boots stained darker than his pants. His shirt was an off-white cotton and he seemed to have a leather quiver strapped to his back.
“Oh, it’s alright, I’m Patton by the way!” Patton finally introduced himself, offering a hand for both of the twins to shake.
“Don’t worry, we’ll show you around our small beachside town after we get you something to eat.” Roman said after shaking his hand, smiling confidently as he spoke. “I’m sure you’ll make friends fast, you seem to be a good fellow.”
Roman helped Patton get off of the small bed he woke up on as Remus scurried off to get Patton a change of clothes. Once changed into simple horse leather pants and an off-white and blue striped shirt (though everything was slightly baggy considering the twins both had slightly larger statures than him), he was happy to eat nearly anything set in front of him.
Thankfully, what was set in front of him was a simple spaghetti, though obviously made by Roman due to the twin’s comment on his brother’s inability to not set fire to something when cooking over the three’s meal. The two feuded for the rest of the meal even after they both finished.
Eventually, the argument defused, leading Remus to comment on what to do. “Oo! Ro-bro, we should show Patton around the city!”
While Roman agreed and the twins started deciding where to take Patton, he was internally struggling. He literally just washed up to this town no more than a day ago and now they want to show him the town already?
He was on the fence but it was clear they weren’t going today, so the twins set Patton up with a cot and other sleeping materials before explaining where they would be going tomorrow.
The twins went upstairs to bed, leaving Patton downstairs with just a little lantern and a teddy he was given to snuggle for the night to keep him company.
Something just felt… wrong. The twins were very hospitable, don’t get him wrong, but he just felt like there was an inexplainable gap in his memory that he just couldn’t piece together.
Well, there wasn’t much he could do right now. So, he simply brushed it off the best he could, blowing out the lantern before settling down for bed.

More writing stuff (please give me a name for this fic)
It felt like centuries before Patton awoke again, eased into consciousness by a sweet song sung by a beautiful voice, almost making him want to go back to sleep again. Until he heard the singing voice speak.
“Ah, you’re awake.” A deep voice said, definitely that of a siren’s because of the flowiness it had, which would explain why the place Patton was at was so dark.
He was understandably frightened, starting to trash as he realized he was underwater with a siren. That was, until the siren started to sing again, the song easily calming Patton.
“Hush, little sailor, I will not harm you. I have no taste for human flesh.” The siren said, using its webbed fingers to scoop Patton into its arms.
Patton was met with a beautiful face, pale yet flecked with blue scales that almost looked like freckles. The siren’s face was beautifully shaped, though he didn’t know if that was just the song getting to him or his own gayness.
“There,” The stunning creature said, Patton deep in its trace. “My name is Logan, twoleg, and yours?” Logan raised his hand slightly as he commanded Patton to speak.
“Patton,” His name fell from his lips seemingly automatically, still entranced.
Logan hummed in satisfaction, allowing Patton a break from his beautiful song to assess his surroundings.
There were rocks all around the two, though Patton was laid on a flat rock in an air pocket. The siren’s—Logan’s—lair…
Light bounced of the water, making the rock ceiling almost look like water itself. Once Patton looked over to Logan again, he could see the siren wrapping seaweed around a large cut, probably a bandage of sorts.
Suddenly, Logan started singing again. Patton immediately went limp, which seemed to alert Logan, as he quickly placed a hand under Patton’s head, hopefully trying to protect the human’s skull.
Logan continued to wrap Patton in seaweed bandages, stopping singing a few seconds after he finished. The ability to think again allowed Patton to recognize that his conch shell necklace wasn’t wrapped securely around his neck.
“Hey, where’s my necklace?” Patton asked into the air, causing Logan’s eyes the second his webbed ears picked up the word ‘necklace’.
“Oh- yes- just… Just give me a second..” Logan said, stumbling over his words as he dived under the surface of the water below the air pocket momentarily, resurfacing with Patton’s conch shell necklace.
Patton gratefully took back his necklace and put it on, aware of Logan letting out a sigh before starting to sing again. This time, the song wasn’t exactly making Patton go limp, more paralyzing him.
It was only until Patton started to black out did he realize that Logan was singing a different song for a reason…
(this is short bc i finished it in the middle of the night)

made this for Mermay and completely forgot to post it (ngl it kinda sucks-)
Siren Logan/Human Patton Thing
(Logicality btw-)
The full moon hung over the sea ominously as Patton stumbled on the deck from the quarters, still getting his sea legs since he just woke up.
It was normal for him to not be able to sleep during full moons, as he had always found himself hobbling onto the deck in the middle of the night around the same time every month. Though, it had gotten worse after he had discovered a strange necklace at the last dock a few months back.
Patton shrugged, leaning forward on the railing at the nose of the boat, gazing up at the round rock in the sky for what felt like hours while he let his thoughts wander a tad.
How long had it been since someone had really taken the time to admire moments like these? He thought, a thought like that being quite unusual for Patton (though he was quick to mentally blame it on the full moon and the strange effects it had on him).
He grasped at his necklace, fidgeting mindlessly with the small conch shell pendent that fell between his collarbones.
He was deep in consideration of whether the chicken or the egg came first (a thought more at his caliber) when the planks behind him creaked, causing to snap his head back to find one of his crewmates. Unfortunately, Patton could tell that this was one of the ones that was not particularly fond of him.
“Hey Patton.” The crewmate said, walking up to lean on the railing beside Patton. Patton only slightly cringed away, replying with a plain “hey” in return.
“Watcha got there? I thought men didn’t wear jewelry?” The crewmate questioned, starting to approach Patton, hand outstretched towards the conch pendent. Patton stepped away quickly, chuckling nervously. “Oh, nothing! Just a little something I found a few months back..”
The crewmate snickered, finding something to poke fun at as he continued to try to slowly corner Patton. “Oh wow, I guess the rumors really are true. You are becoming a girl!” The crewmate joked, pushing Patton back slightly.
Patton stumbled a bit, stammering over his words as he got closer to the edge of the boat with no railing, waves crashing at the threshold.
“Ya’know, the boss won’t care about a missing pair of hands, you’re really just excess.” Patton tried especially hard to block out those words, gasping as the crewmate shoved him harshly, nearly causing him to fall into the sea.
“H-hey! That’s-that’s not true!” He objected, trying somewhat to defend himself. “You know it is!” The crewmate insisted, stepping so close to Patton the two’s chests almost touched.
Patton stammered before pushing the crewmate back himself, defending himself as best he could.
The crewmate didn’t seem to care, however, only snickering and coming closer again before stepping hard on the toes of Patton’s boots, causing him to lose his balance, stumbling frighteningly close to the edge of the boat.
“Stop! This isn’t right!” Patton yelled, more of his crewmates emerging from the quarters, quickly noticing the situation and taking the crewmate’s side, starting to approach Patton themselves.
Patton was panicking at this point, suddenly aware that sirens would be out by now. He prayed the siren’s song would at least distract the crewmate’s, either that or the others would have an excuse for his disappearance should the captain notice.
He barely had anytime to think before the other crewmates started chanting, the first one inching Patton even closer to the edge, the others surrounding him.
“Hey! Wai-!” He tried to protest, only to get shoved harshly into the sea.
His body plunged into the ice cold depths, waves kicking him around before he could reach for the edge of the boat that had seemingly vanished before he smacked against it, pulled away violently right after. As numbness spread across his skin, he was dragged across rocks and sharp debris, wounds definitely forming.
Patton was still in shock as he was slammed and dragged by the current, limp against the ocean’s predatory force. All he could see was the full moon shining down on the raging waters, saltwater flooding his mouth as it gaped.
His hand came up to grasp his conch shell necklace, that being the only sensation he was aware of before finally being knocked unconscious.
