Bioshock
Okay so I’ve quite happily got back into gaming. I could have cried when my Xbox 360 broke beyond repair as there are several games that I can’t get on Xbox one (I know having both is greedy but the Xbox one was a Christmas present). I was part way through playing Bioshock 2. Having played BioShock 1 and Infinite they were fast becoming my favourite games. The horror elements of BioShock 1 kept me on the edge of my seat while the, somewhat complicated, storyline kept me intrigued. I fell in love with that game (despite dying several times. I’m not very good at first person shooter games). The contrast between the dark underwater city of Rapture and the light airborne city of Columbia lead me to skip the second game and go straight for Infinite. And I was not disappointed. Yes there are some issues with infinite but I don’t feel that stopped it being a good game. Though there are several ways the general game play could have done with great improvement, it was highly enjoyable. I did find the storyline in Infinite slightly more complicated and it took me a few minutes to fully grasp what was happening. As soon as I understood I was slightly surprised by it. I then went on to BioShock 2. I was very happy with how the game play was so similar to the first one. I have heard some awful reviews about 2 but, from what I played, I couldn’t see the issue. Seeing the gameplay from the other side of the Rapture coin and playing as a Big Daddy had me as a fan right away. I just wish I could have finished playing it. Next time I get money I am definitely buying a 360 (even if it is just a second hand one) so I can finish that game. As with most games I have already developed favourite characters. From BioShock 1 and 2, I am a massive fan of the Big Daddies. I also like the Little Sisters. They’re suitably creepy and you can’t help but feel sorry for them. What they do is through no fault of their own. From Infinite, the Lutece twins. I was confused by them at first but there was something very likeable about their characters. The sarcasm and way they talk makes them curious and intriguing. Having a love of all things Steampunk, I couldn’t help but like the Songbird.

In a relationship: -Not everyone is clingy. That doesn't mean they don't love you. -Netflix and chill can be watching Netflix in your messiest clothes and not caring that the other person is doing the same. -Some people need their own space sometimes. That doesn't mean they don't want you. -You can not want sex but want cuddles. -You can not talk for days and not worry what the other one is doing. Relationships aren't defined but a set of rules and expectations. They can be whatever you want them to be.

Decided to do a catch up on Doctor Who. Finally accepted Matt Smith is a good Doctor (bit behind the times. I stopped watching it cos the guy I was with hated Doctor Who and never got round to catching up). Now currently spending 90% of my time fangirling over River Song and the other 10% attempting to knit a pair of River Song themed gloves and trying to alter my tablet case to make it look like River Song’s journal…I think I need to get out more

Today's social lesson: DO NOT say stuff out of anger and/or frustration. If you do you will fuck up the best friendship you ever had. I speak from experience.

Before I decide for definite whether I'm going to get rid of my blog I'm going to speak my mind. To the feminists who have deemed me "unsuitable to call myself female". Good luck in your future. I am not going to say I hate men because I don't. I refuse to join the band wagon of man hating. Feminism used to be about equality and now most (not all. By no means all) "feminists" are using it as an excuse to declare war on man. I do not consider myself to be a feminist because I do not believe women are superior. WE ARE EQUAL. When I received an anonymous message from someone claiming to be a feminist I realised how little equality actually means to people claiming they want equality. I received hate from this person for the following reasons: I'm bisexual I identify as genderfluid I don't take pride in the length of my leg and under arm hair. I have no issues if people want to let theirs grow. I am indifferent to the "meninist" My preferred fictional character role models (eg Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica) are more butch. I don't always vote I have been known to spend an enjoyable afternoon doing "housewife things". Seriously people. Modern feminists aren't as great as they think. I prefer to think that rather than having to conform to an idea about what it means to be female (be it older or more recent views), I can just enjoy what I feel makes female. If you made it through that entire post kudos points to you.
