i hate the mindset that just because an issue affects both men and women, then that must mean the issue is not that serious or it shouldn’t be included in feminism. For example murder, people like to downplay femicide just because men are also murdered. the reason behind why men are murdered is totally different than the reason for why women are murdered. the hatred for women is what triggers a femicide, men are not killed for being men.

Okay. Why is it that when TRAs talk about trans-identified females, they acknowledge and understand that a TIF still experiences oppression based on her being born female, even if she ‘identifies out of being a woman’… but cannot acknowledge the reverse where a trans-identified male still experiences privilege based on him being born male? TRAs have to ignore reality to say that a TIM instantly loses all privileges the moment he says he’s a woman and puts on a skirt. That is not reality.

Ask any woman who is brave enough to talk about this. We have been in rooms with TIMs. We have experienced the oppressive force of a TIM who denies his privilege. He may have long hair, he may have had surgery to look more ‘womanly’, he may have estrogen injected into him. But he still dominates a conversation because he was taught subconsciously that he has more rights to speak than a woman. He still receives better medical care simply because his body has been the status quo for medical experimentation, testing, and research. He still experienced a childhood (and for ‘late bloomer’ TIMs, a good chunk of adulthood) living as a male and reaping the benefits of not being treated as a woman, of being treated male.

Identity does not change that. I cannot say I’m a cat and suddenly be a cat or expect others to view me as a cat. I cannot say I’m physically disabled and suddenly be physically disabled. Because saying I am something does not make me it. And saying I’m not something, I’m not white, I’m not able-bodied, doesn’t make me lose the privileges I have for being white and able-bodied. Because I am still white and able-bodied. I cannot identify out of that because, in reality, I am white and able-bodied.

And even TRAs mock those who call themselves trans-racial, but they do not see the irony. So, if TRAs can acknowledge that you cannot identify out of privilege in most cases, why is it different when it is a trans-identified male?

Because it isn’t different. They just wouldn’t be able to paint TIMs as the biggest victims (and, essentially, putting them before women) if they had to acknowledge that TIMs are privileged.

i think this idea might apply to avenues other than driving, like i can’t prove it but i wouldn’t be surprised if this was the truth. this is why i especially hate things like “girl dinner” and “girl math” where women jokingly indulge in stereotypes. if you’re a woman believe you’re good at driving, good at math, good at science, good at law, good at EVERYTHING. it’s for your own good

Cosmetic surgery is NOT the same as reconstructive surgery ffs. Someone getting a nose job so they look "better" is not the same as someone trying to restore their nose after an accident and you all know it.

"Oooh you can't criticise plastic surgery, some people NEED it" ok well I can and I will, just like I'll criticise the diet industry even tho sure there are people who might need to lose weight out there.

Let's be real here, it's very telling that feminists will be like "hey so X exploits women" and suddenly a bunch of you will be like "whoa there, have you considered not talking about that?"

Are radfems and radleaningfems on here actually talking and caring about trans people too much OR is this the only platform we can share our gender critical views without our accounts being nuked?

I know from my own personal experience that I post a lot about trans people because I can actually vent my frustration and share my gender critical views here. I can find like-minded women easier than I can on TikTok etc.

I can share other radfem views and talking points on other platforms (and I do) but views of a gender critical nature get me banned, doxxed and penalised.

And I'd like to bet that is the case for other radfems on this platform.

Very interesting that males are the worst perpetrators of all types of violence, bigotry, damage, etc. but no one wants to say that. No one wants to say that if we collectively tackled patriarchy, everyone across all sections of life would benefit, and we might finally be able to fix what men have broken. However, no one wants to do that because men and women alike are so in love with dick.

As much as men love to complain about their problems, they don't want racism, ableism, fascism, etc. solved at the cost of patriarchy. They would really rather have the world go to shit than see it without them on top of the pyramid :/

I'm not really sure why some transwomen/TIM are under the impression that radfems stating that TIM cannot physically be female or women somehow means they have to go back to adhering to what society expects of "a man."

It's quite the opposite actually. I WANT you to wear dresses and skirts and pink and heels and wear makeup and do whatever it is you like to do that makes you feel like you're somehow female, but I also want you to understand that those things DON'T make you female or have any proximity to womanhood. You're allowed to express yourself through fashion and personality without lying and claiming you're female
