once in a divination lesson, Lily tried to read her palm, she saw that her life line was very short and was scared, but James reassured her, saying "it's okay, I have the same one." then Lily just assumed that she was mistaken and she would be fine, because James, who was more than life itself, couldn't die young.

Remus also had the longest life line, and he said he had every chance of dying first because he was a werewolf.
