Ilnaz Galyaviev who's currently serving a life sentence for committing a mass shooting at the Kazan gymnasium No. 175 applied to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan - he asks to reverse the court decision regarding the seizure of 1/3 of the flat where he was living

The flat in question is the flat of Ilnaz's parents located on the Tuganlyk street in Kazan. Ilnaz's share was originally seized according to the court's decision in order to secure claims of the injured parties. However, he considers the decision of the Soviet District Court of Kazan to be illegal - he didn't take part in the court hearings regarding the issue and wasn't notified about the court's decision.

In addition, the shooter also pointed out that he didn't spend any money on buying and arranging the flat - his parents did that. Galyaviev is also concerned that he won't have a place to stay in case if he gets parole.

The Soviet District Court of Kazan satisfied the requirements of the Republic of Tatarstan prosecutor's office which ruled to recover 1,4 million rubles from Ilnaz Galyaviev

The lawsuit was filed last fall by the prosecutor's office in the interest of the Kazan municipality regarding the damage done to the gymnasium No. 175, the amount of claims - 1,4 million rubles. State budgetary institution "Glavstroy RT", LLP "Kazansoyuzstroy", Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt", charitable foundation "Tatneft" and gymnasium No. 175 were involved as third parties. The Court ruled in favor of the plaintiffs the last April.

Two months earlier the Soviet District Court satisfied the claim of the bailiffs which demanded to foreclose on the property (Galyaviev's share in the apartment) (the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan originally ruled to recover 22 million rubles from Galyaviev).

Only 2,4 thousand rubles were deducted from Ilnaz Galyeviev's prison salary so far.
