Beetlejuice and Lydia (Beetlejuice shooter and cocktail)

Beetlejuice Ingredients: 2 Blackberries 1 oz. Black sambuca 1 oz. Irish cream 

Directions: Add berries to a shot glass. Pour black sambuca into shot glass. Using a barspoon, layer the Irish cream on top. 

Lydia Ingredients: 2 oz. Lemon vodka 4 oz. Blood orange soda 1 splash Lime juice Drizzle of grenadine

Directions: Add all ingredients over ice and stir.

It is sad that someone like that sulks off because he “feels attacked” when it is them that coined the “snowflake” insult. They feel so threatened to begin with and then feel more threatened when their views are questioned. I think most of the time they retreat because they really are unable to defend their views. Sad.

I just called out my racist uncle. He started spewing Alt-Right crap and I told him he was being racist and sounded like FoxNews. He stormed off bc he was "being attacked" and wouldn't come out until I apologized. I did bc my mom was afraid of his temper. He was my fav uncle I thought was a cool hippy from Cali. Now I'm sad bc he has such hate under his beloved facade. He won't be visiting again anytime soon. Feels like Bruno's best/worst day from City Slickers. Did my apology just validate him?

Families are tough. Our parents use the “nothing is mroe important than family” line to excuse awful behavior, and convince us to tolerate and support racists and bigots, simply because we are related to them.

It’s a choice to be a racist. It’s a choice to justify and support the actions of racists. In my opinion, it’s inexcusable, so I won’t excuse it.

I can’t tell you what to do, because I’m not in your family. But if you’re asking what I would do? I’ve removed all racists and bigots from my life, because I don’t have time or space in my life for people who hold those beliefs, including people I happen to be related to.

I’m sorry you had to experience this. It sucks.

We first featured this awesome Doctor Who-themed chess set created by Dutch artist Emmi Visser, aka DeviantArtist EldalinSkywalker, back in 2011. It features the Tenth Doctor and Professor River Song as king and queen facing off against The Master and Lady Cassandra.

Today we discovered that Visser sculpted a second Doctor Who-themed chess set. This geektastic set features the Eleventh Doctor and Professor River Song defended by Amy and Amelia as bishops, Eyedrive Rory and Rory the Roman s knights, TARDIS rooks, and a row of pawns shaped like Dorium’s head. They’re facing off against the Dream Lord and Madam Kovarian as king and queen with The Silence as bishops, Headless Monks as knights, twin Pandoricas for rooks, and a terrifying row of Weeping Angels as pawns.

Both beautifully detailed sets were completely handmade using polymer clay.
