The text is structured into neat and organized paragraphs, there is a title at the top that informs the reader all what the article will be about, also a picture has been included, telling the reader the topic of the article in one glance, not only that it also makes the article somewhat more visually appealing. There is a different main idea introduced in each paragraph , this aids the reader when understanding what each paragraph is talking about. The main ideas are arranged in chronological order with an introduction of Tutu at the beginning , his work with regard to human rights, his background and then towards the end his acheivements , his life time objective and contribution towards society. The first information talks bout Desmond Tutu and who he was. This provides the reader with background information and interests the reader getting him/her to read on. It also introduces the term "apartheid" which is basically what the whole article is about. The first information is needed in order to have a better understanding of the article. The order of information and ideas is clear and concise, with focus only on the main idea and not any other unnecessary details.

Journal Prompt Ideas........
If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would that be and why?
How do you feel when you have had a fight with your best / close friend?
If you could go back in time, and be given the chance to change something what would that something  be and why?
What life event would you say has brought about a significant change in you, why would you say that?
What do you think  is one invention that has made your life easy? What would you invent to make lives better?

It is important to be passionate about something, as it allows you to know where your interests lie, and to pursue your career in that direction. if you are passionate about something you work for your passion with all your heart, therefore giving work of best quality. therefore,  find your passion and go for it!!!
My role model would be my mom, and she has a passion for cooking, she tries to experiment with food and ends up making her own recipes which are absolutely delicious. Through her I have developed a passion for food.

A Significant Human Right
A human right that I feel is tremendously significant is freedom  from torturous or cruel, inhuman ways of treating others and  I find this of great importance, as there are so many people out there who treat other's like they're nothing, and this is very wrong. The person does not have any sympathy for the other and continues to treat his/her vivtim in a harsh manner. No consideration is taken about the person's feelings or emotions. No one has the right to treat others in such a savage manner.
Treat others in the way that you would like to be treated yourself!!!

Your reputation is a currency that can’t be quantified, but it’s priceless. If you want to have a good name, you have to take ownership of your personal reputation and treat it like the way you would treat your wealth. Face it; we live in a socially cannibalistic society. When someone goes down or shows a kink in their armor, they become fair game for the vultures. Don’t let it be you!
So – what to do? Most importantly, I believe that one must learn to CONTROL themselves. Live as if you're living in a glass house. Make sure that you don't do anything that you wouldn't want others to know about.
Remember that you have to take ownership of your personal reputation, or someone else will. Altough your character might be good, one small deed can ruin that good reputation that you've been building from a long time, in a matter of seconds. Therefore please be careful of whatever you do.

Peer Reflection
Not many people participate during class discussions that much, including me, so I don't really get to hear people's opinions during class time however on Tumblr I am subject to many different ideas, and opinions that make me feel, how come I didn't think of that, or that's a pretty good idea.
I really like to participate along with my peers, as work can be divided among the group members and I don't have to do all the work on my own.
I don't like it when people disagree with me, as when I say something I want everyone to agree, so I need to work on my behavior, and learn to appreciate the fact that different people have different opinions.
Usually when In a group I tend to waste time, talking with everyone, and litte work is accomplished. So time management is essential when working in a group so that is a skill we all need to build. While working in groups for the rewriting of the scene, I really worked very hard, I was dedicated, and I put in a lot of effort while writing my part  of the script, so I am proud of my performance.
Overall, I think group work is fantastic, as it gives you a chance to work with the people other than you are used to, and opens you up to a whole new variety of ideas and opinions.

Self Reflection
Working on Tumblr this quarter was actually quite cool, I have learned many new things and was able to share my ideas with the class, as well as being able to see what others have to say on a topic. By using Tumblr the way I think about a matter have changed, at first I wasn't really that specific when stating my opinions, I believed that what I was trying to say was understandable by everyone, but after reading posts that I didn't undertand, I realized that in the same way that I'm not understanding someone's post, people would be finding it hard to understand me as well. This caused me to be more specific when writing something. During the quarter we were asked to do many persuasive posts where we were asked to persuade the reader to think the way we do, at first I found it difficult but then later on I got used to it, and learned how to persuade an audience, this can be done by writing out clearly what you believe and stating firmly why you belive so, an example of this would be the week 7 posts that I have done. Tumblr has really helped me improve my writing especially when persuading someone. The fact that we are using Tumblr to share our ideas is a main contributing factor that led to the improvement in my writing. When I look at paper I feel kind of sleepy and I can't really think that much, so Tumblr was really helpful, I am really proud of all the work I have put onto Tumblr, much thought was gone into each post that resulted in a fairly good outcome. I do feel that there is always room for improvement, so I could improve my writing to make it more effective and for it to have an impact on the reader.

Justice I would fight for
Many people are suffering due to a lack of justice, so I would fight for many things.
Firstly, I would fight for the people of Pakistan, as there are  thousands of people dying there due to drone attacks, Suicide bombings and other military attacks, the once beautiful and bustling city of Karachi is now one of the most dangerous places on this planet, due to the huge number of terrorist attacks, it's a pitiful sight now, thousands of people are dying daily, and there is no one to question these killers, the government is doing absolutely nothing to stop them. The people who are dying are mostly the poor, and they're relatives get out onto the streets and start protesting, but no one listens to them. I really want to take up a stand for them so that would be my first priority when fighting for justice, and this is not only for the people of Pakistan but for everyone around the world.
Secondly, I would fight for women's rights. It's not that we don't have any but men are still considered superior to women and this hurts me. Women are equally capable of doing the things that men do and sometimes they do it in an even better way. Why are men given certain jobs that women aren't? Why are most men given a higher education than women? Why in some countries women are not yet allowed to vote, or are banned from driving? This is all because of the thought that men are superior to women, this isn't the case everywhere but where this is the case  I would set to put it right.
Lastly, I would fight for all those innocent people out there who are being subject to punishments because of a false accusation. It is complete madness, to be punished for something that you have never done. Once they are given the punishment they cannot speak, they're dignity is tarnished, so no one listens to them. Therfore I find it impotant to speak up for these people.
I hope Insha'Allah that there will be a  day when justice will be restored to all of mankind, and everyone will live in peace and harmony with the other.

Social Media
My thoughts on Social Media are pretty much still the same, I liked it before and i like it now, and I think it is both useful and dangerous at the same time, no changes in opinions . Many people think that social media is having a negative impact on people. They think it's a waste of time and is ruining today's children in a great number of ways. They might be right but if used in an  Appropriate manner , social media can be helpful in many ways.
Social Media can be pretty useful for spreading information or awareness. The reason being because it is fast and most people if not everyone use social media. Many companies and bussineses can make use of social media to promote and to tell people about themselves.
Social Media can be a great resource for educational purposes as it provides everyone with an opportunity to express themselves openly, as many people are shy and cannot do well while speaking in public, so through social media one is able to express themselves as much as they want without the fear of the audience. This is just like the way we are using Tumblr in class.
Social Media is also a great way to socialize with  friends and family. It's  entertaining. I usually log in to such sites when i'm borred, or want to take a break from work. I enjoy being able to catch up with the people I know, whom i'm living miles away from.
There are always two sides of everything; it depends on your perspective on how you perceive it.Most people admire Social Media as a revolutionary invention and some seem to take it as a negative impact on the society. If used in a good way it can prove very benficial to the user, but misuse can lead to negative impacts. In my opinion Social media has  more positive sides to it than  negative. Now it's up to the reader to decide what he/she thinks about the topic ......

It's true, and quite relates to what we have learnt in class. A movie although taking the idea from the book, twists and changes the story and plays around with the emotions and charcters, thus loosing the beauty of the original piece of writing. In many cases the book seems to have made a way better impact on the audience than the movie version of the book, this just proves how you can't show every little thing on the big screen.

Justice & Reputation
Justice and Reputaion are terms that one needs to have a good understanding of in order to see it in action in everyday life. From the beginning of the year till now we have repeatedly been discussing these terms in each of our classes, which has caused me to realize the importance of these things and be able to identify it when I see it. I realized how important it is and how many people are suffering due to a lack of Justice, and a bad reputation.
Justice is essential for each and every human being as it gives one reassurance and a hope for a better tomorrow, injustice is widely found in our society today, and everyone should work to put an end to it as "Injustice anyehere is a threat to Justice Everywhere"
Reputaion is also something that one should be carfeul about, it is how the world sees and recognizes you as a person. Everyone's reputation is in their own hands, one can either make or break their reputation. So in order to have a good reputation, one should live up to it.
Justice and Reputation are kind of linked together. Each of them requires the peson to be cautious and mindful of his/her actions, and a slight mistake can lead to major consequences.

Rewriting The Scene
Writing a scene on justice was quite fun, I really enjoyed myself, getting into our groups and discussing the plot, setting and characters it was all very  exciting. The roles were distributed and everyone was happy with the role they got, picking out what to wear and  where to shoot it made me felt like I was actually working in a real film production, so it was an amazing experience, one of a kind, however the problem lay when coming to shoot the video. There was a problem of where to do it, and when, because each of us had many other things to do, it got us all quite worried, however I think it's all under control and everyone's looking forward to performing.
The group's just amazing and very co operative, we do get a bit lazy at times or even not that serious but it's okay, the main thing is to have fun and that we are defineitely having. :)

Different Mediums
The movie of the Crucible, I feel would be short with less details however in the book the acts are longer, as it provides details about each character and also a little background information about what was happening before the scence. When reading a book you have to remain focused in order to understand what is going on, while when watching a film these concentration, I feel, is not required as everything is happening in front of your eyes.
Books that I read that were later transformed into film, are the Harry Potter series, I personally liked the books better as I could interact with the characters emotionally, the movies weren't really that good, as compared to the book, the movies didn't even include Peeves the poltergeist, and ignored many scenes. One cannot understand why but i personally feel that you can't show some things in a movie the way you could see them in a book.
