I’ve been playing live music for over half of my life. I could mention the incredible places I’ve visited, the friend I’ve made, the bands I’ve toured with, as it’s all been a dream come true. Somehow after all these years, I played my all time favorite show, just last night, in Silver Spring, MD. The crowd was great, the set list was a good mix of the Mae catalog, we enjoyed supporting our good friends of almost 20 years in The Starting Line. But what made it the best show of all time for me? Ellie finally got to see her daddy in his element, performing songs I’ve written over the years with Mae. My heart is so full. So much time has been logged through my musical life, yet I think I just caught a glimpse of the very beginning. In fact, I know I have.
