We are preparing for our next show at the Danziger Gallery in New York / November 2015. I believe The Monument Valley prints are some of the best ones we've created so far. I'm getting ready to varnish our new round of glass plates. These plates would be considered rejects by most of the people who work with the Wet Plate collodion process. We've been reading the troubleshooting sections of various wet plate manuals and reverse engineering problems. I'm very happy with the way these came out. #Salon des Refusés @will_eichelberger @lvance2010 @cs_k

It's so amazing to be able to hold a giant glass plate after you make it. We look at these as objects not so much photograph. Here is a 27"x36" plate of some native Old growth #laketahoe #trees. It's hard to imagine that most all of the native Tahoe trees were cut down back in the day. Trees are some of my favorite things. @will_eichelberger @lvance2010

In 100 years from now someone else will most likely own this plate. It's interesting to think that they will know that the actual image was created and present at the location depicted on the plate. That's what so neat about the wet plate process. For example if you were able to hold an original plate of Abraham Lincoln you would know that it was in the same room with him at the exact time and place where it was created. #Ambrotype #27x36 #wetplate #silverandlight @will_eichelberger @lvance2010
