BMW, Harley Davidson, Honda, Moto Guzzi, and others: here is the selection of our favorite motorcycles of the year.
Harley Davidson LiveWire: the electric revolution
Despite some delivery delays due to a problem with ... charger, this first electric Harley Davidson marks a real turning point. Not only is that the end of the potatoes-potato, the sweet thudding engine noise of the Harleys of yesteryear, but for once a Harley accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3 seconds. The only real regret, in addition to its rather long charging time: the very high price of this Harley of the future.
105 hp, 158 km of autonomy, 249 kg,
Instead of the large twin-cylinder, a huge battery that promises 158 km of autonomy.
Kawasaki W800: the eternal return of vintage
Born W650 in 1999, then renamed W800 in 2011, before disappearing in 2016 to reappear 3 years later, this eternal ghost is nothing but a reissue of the 1966 W1. Become ultra-modern (ABS, euro 5 standard, catalyst ...) suffering from its old-fashioned look, it is one of GQ's favorite motorcycles, as comfortable in town as on the motorway or small departmental roads.
Twin-cylinder, 800 cm3, 48 channels, 221 kg,
The lovely W800 keeps coming back.
Triumph Rockett III: the British rocket
It is one of the biggest motorcycles in the world and above all one of the most impressive with its three cylinders of 2.5 L and 167 hp for a total weight of 300 kg. Fortunately, this heavy-duty bike takes advantage of a veritable electronic arsenal to manage the anti-skating of this two-wheeled rocket which exists in two versions: R for Race and GT for Grand Touring.

Ducati Diavel 1260: the devilish motorcycle
The devil is really in the details since the new Diavel released this year goes from 1200 to 1260 cm3. If it gains a shorter exhaust, the new 159 hp engine admirably serves this dragster who prefers straight lines to mountain switchbacks. But what a face, with its huge rear tire! The only problem is its price.

BMW R nineT / 5: the return of the prodigal son
Presented 50 years ago, the BMW / 5 (say "Series 5") has convinced by its solidity and its reliability which have made it among another favorite motorcycle of the escorts of the Tour de France or the National Gendarmerie. To celebrate the anniversary, BMW released in 2019 a tribute edition based on its fabulous R NineT, mounting a tank adorned on the sides with non-slip rubbers as originally. The R NineT, already exemplary, gains a gratifying vintage look.
1200 cc twin-cylinder bike, 110 hp, 220 kg,
Indian FTR 1200: the motorcycle that unearths the hatchet
This is the other American brand, with a large, smooth V-twin engine. Except that this bike inspired by dirt track machines (races on land) is no longer a peaceful Yankee motorcycle with its 123 hp and its apparent trellis frame. The S version gains a standard anti-slip which is very useful for passing power to the rear wheel while maintaining its fabulous look.
Twin-cylinder, 1200 cc, 123 hp, 222 kg,
This Indian motorcycle is appreciated on gravel and asphalt.
Yamaha XSR 700 XTribute: a tribute to the desert
Sur no longer presents the extraordinary Yamaha XSR, the neo-retro version of the MT-07 whose excellent 75 hp engine enchants with its availability at all speeds, aided by an irreproachable frame. On this version tribute to the XT500, the bike that won the first Paris-Dakar, Yamaha repainted the tank in the colors of the time and fitted sculpted dirt track tires as is the fashion. All for a very affordable price.
Twin 700 cc, 75 hp, 186 kg,
The XT500 is brought back to life with this admirably customized MT-07 by Yamaha.
Guzzi V85 TT: the surprise of the year
No one dared imagine that the venerable Italian brand specialist in the transverse V engine could come to play on the plates of the BMW R1200 GS. And yet, with this astonishing V85 TT, Guzzi has marketed this year a sacred road, comfortable, robust, and well equipped. All for a very acceptable price (5,000 € less than the BMW). A truly successful touring motorcycle.
Twin-cylinder, 850 cm3, 80 lanes, 208 kg, 11.699
Moto Guzzi V85 TT, a new idea of travel.
Mash Dirt Track 650: the Franco-Chinese wonder
Everyone is rightly raving about this bike designed in France but assembled in China, with a big 650 cm3 single-cylinder screwed onto a dirt track chassis. The two shock absorbers and the small cafe ra-style saddle
