happy father's day
looking back and seeing how much things have changed, i've come to the conclusion of giving up. i'm giving up. you guys win. there was really no battle to begin with but i made dad a promise to never let go and i have failed. you've clearly grown up to be a wonderful young man, from what i've seen. we live two completely different lives and we obviously don't know each other anymore. it breaks my heart, so much, for me to admit this but i'm letting you go. at the end of the day, you and i are complete strangers to each other who happen to have the same parent. i think it hurts so much cause i love you and because i have broken my promise to our dad. i said that if i ever gave up, that would mean that she wins. i guess she won.
