I have an idea I'd like to try next time I have to babysit my nephews (5 and 7). I'm going to buy Dokapon Kingdom for the Switch, and have them play a 10 week campaign with me. Before playing, I'll tell them if I don't win, I'll take them out for ice cream, but whoever comes in first place gets a double scoop. Then I'll play just well enough that I always stay in second place.

Let's see if 3rd place would rather his brother get more ice cream if it means getting some ice cream or if he'd rather get no ice cream if it means his brother doesn't get more.

Ignore the bleeding/seeping and the fact the middle zero looks narrow and some of the numbers seem ‘off’. 😂 The clear saniderm wrap is squishing stuff right now. Pre-wrap (and once I remove) it’s basically perfecto, like the final set.

P.S. When I went back in, my tattoo artist said he showed his friend the Supercorp tattoo he did for me previously, and his comic book lovin’ friend goes “I think I know about that artist!” and pulled @jellolegos’s IG. She’s got fans all over. 👏

Also my tatt guy’s sister had said, “Is that Supergirl?! AWESOME!!” 🤓

I hung out with one of my nephews today. When I got there, my SIL and nephews were finishing a cartoon they were watching (Summer Camp Island). The part that I walked in on, one character was telling the other that he would be her bellhop and help her with her baggage. Not judge it, or do anything to it, but be there to help her carry it. I loved that sentiment. I don’t remember exactly how he explained it, but that was the gist. It was beautiful, and a great message for kids to hear.

"Man, I miss TJ. I wish we had more nephews. Nieces too. Babies are okay," Jane decided, drinking a beer - the first she'd had since TJ had shown up on their doorstep. Maura sipped her wine and watched carefully, wondering if now was the right time to broach the subject.

"We could always make our own?" Maura suggested, and Jane snorted out her beer.

"Make our own nephews?" Jane asked, laughing. "You of all people should know that's impossible! Unless Ma adopts you, but then there's the issue of us technically being related, and we both have the same equipment... Maura, what are you on about?"

"Babies, Jane. Not nephews. We could always make our own."

"Oh, yeah. Casey is back in town soon, and Ian is always dropping in and out. It'd almost be like making each other nephews," Jane shrugged. "But I'm not up for being a single parent. It was fun with you, but everything is fun with you."

"When I say 'make our own', I meant... together," Maura said, looking into her wine glass, seeing Jane's head snap up in her peripheral vision.

"Wait, you'd want to? Still the equipment issue, Maura." Jane shook her head, thinking about how she'd woken up that morning strewn across Maura's legs while Maura looked down at TJ with a look so full of fierce loving, then, when she noticed Jane was awake, shifted that same look to her. Maura had started talking about IVF and egg harvesting, but Jane sipped her beer and looked up at Maura, who looked worried.

"Screw it," Jane said. "Let's make our own."

Maura's smile was shy and uncertain, and Jane hated herself a little for making her wonder for so long. Jane got to her feet and walked to the stairs.

"Where are you going?" Maura asked.

"To the bedroom. We've got some nephews to make."

Jane tuned out the lecture that Maura, thankfully following her, was making around cis women having babies together and stating that unprotected sex was not the most effective method until she shut the bedroom door behind Maura and kissed her long enough for Maura to forget how to make words, let alone nephews.

Yesterday, on his second day of kindergarten, my nephew got pinched by a much older student while riding the bus. Said student then tried to get my nephew in trouble for retaliating as a five year old would. So…who wants to go with me on Monday morning and glare at this kid as he boards the bus?

I have four tattoos and my fave is my Taco Bell mild sauce packet that honors my grandfather.

So far I have 7 total tattoos I’ve gotten all just within the last year…

- palm trees honoring Mom

- “let it be” Beatles text honoring Mom

- flamingo honoring Mom

- long series of birthdate numbers honoring Mom, and as tribute to my two nephews

- Supercorp tattoo

- Star Trek: Voyager combadge tattoo

- Xena chakram/sai tattoo

The only thing left I want to get is something to fill in the last couple spots on this arm… a vine or floral thing + maybe some paw prints honoring the pets I’ve had as an adult. Then I’m DONE. At that point, I will have 9 tattoos. 😅

Or… I think I’ll be done. I can’t imagine anything else being important enough to get a 10th tattoo for unless I meet “the one” and we do something together but I dunno if I wanna be that person. Or maybe maybe if there’s some big event in my life that I really want to commemorate.

Honestly, I think the most meaningful is probably the numbers for my mom and nephews or the palm trees which was my first tattoo in general and the first one honoring her memory… but in terms of design, definitely the Supercorp tatt I think is just dope as hell.

Overall, my goal has been to honor the most important people in my life, but also represent certain things in media that have had a significant impact on my life and gotten me through some of the hardest times. The ones that have helped me survive childhood abuse and adult loss. That have also inspired me creatively in ways I can never express. And that have inspired me as a woman, with my passions, identity, etc.

Anyone know like a robot voice of Bluey’s voice? Like the 15 ai type thing?

I made this puppet like a year ago and I wanted to have her talk to my nephews. Their big fans of bluey. I know the animation part but I know nothing about audio and voice changing type things.

I may end up needing to make a new one but I still wanna do it.
